Helge Rode (Frederiksberg, 16 October 1870, 23 March 1937) [1] was a Danish writer and critic, and journalist for Politiken , Berlingske Tidende , and Illustreret Tidende . [2] He was a son of Margrethe Rode, [3] the brother of politician Ove Rode, [4] and father of actor Ebbe Rode. [5] In 1905, he married the writer Edith Rode with whom he had four children. [6]

He was a critic of Georg Brandes and the Modern Breakthrough. [4] Composer Carl Nielsen's piece Moderen (The Mother) was written for a play by Rode in 1920-21

Arne Sørensen (footballer)

Arne Sørensen was a Danish association football player and coach. In his playing career, Sørensen won a total three Danish championships with B 1903 and B 93, before moving abroad to play professionally in French football. He played 30 games and scored four goals as a midfielder for the Denmark national football team. As a coach, Sørensen won silver medals with the Danish national team at the 1960 Summer Olympics, and also won the Danish championship with Esbjerg fB, KB, and Hvidovre IF.

Johan Ludvig Mansa, was a German-Danish landscape gardener, born April 10, 1740 in Zweibrücken, Germany, where his father was palace gardener. In 1765 he went to Denmark and was gardener at Fuglsang Manor, Lolland. In the 1780s, he was appointed as a gardener and steward of Marienlyst Castle in Helsingør, Denmark and in 1794 as a gardener at Frederiksborg Castle. Finally in 1799 he was employed as a gardener and steward at Fredensborg Palace. The majority of his work was in transforming formal French gardens into English landscape gardens. Some remnants of his works can still be seen on the slope north of Marienlyst Castle in Helsingør as well as a few manors and palaces around Denmark.

Carl Vilhelm "Skoma'r" Hansen, simply known as Carl "Skoma'r", was a Danish association football player and coach. He played in the forward position, and won the Danish championship with Boldklubben 1903 before moving abroad to play for Scottish club Rangers F.C. as the first professional player in Danish football history. With Rangers, he won four Scottish championships. Hansen played seven games and scored three goals for the Denmark national football team, and was a part of the Denmark team at the 1920 Summer Olympics. As a coach, he managed a number of Danish teams and won the Danish championship with AB.

Køge Nord FC

Køge Nord FC is a Danish association football club, located in Ølby between a railroad and a highway, Køge Bugt Motorvejen, in the northern suburbs of Køge, Køge Municipality, and playing their home games at Rishøj Stadium, which can hold approx. 1,000 standing spectators around a fenced football field with no grandstands. The East Zealandian club was originally formed as a football department in 1971 under the sports club, Rishøj Idrætsforening, before being refounded as an independent association football club under the name Rishøj Boldklub in 2004, and getting its current name in the summer of 2017. As of the 2018/19-season, the club's first team play in Zealand Series after having been relegated from the Denmark Series in 2017.

The first non-native Danish person who was appointed as a royal chamber singer was the Italian Giuseppe Siboni, who in 1819 received Danish citizenship and became director of the Royal Theatre.

Edith Rode

Edith Rode née Nebelong (1879–1956) was a Danish novelist and a journalist with Berlingske Tidende. She also ran a popular correspondence column for the magazine Familie Journalen. In addition to fiction, she was the editor of Den gyldne bog om danske kvinder (1941), a collection of biographies of notable Danish women. She is remembered in particular for the three memoir portraits she wrote towards the end of her life: Der var engang, Paa Togt i Erindringen, and Paa Rejse i Livet.

Julie Marstrand Danish sculptor

Julie Marstrand, married name Julie Marstrand Blegvad, (1882–1943) was a Danish sculptor who specialized in portrait busts. One of her most famous works is her realistic bronze bust of the explorer Knud Rasmussen (1921). As an illustrator and a writer, she contributed to Berlingske Tidende and as a textile artist, created designs for Emilie Tolle's weaving enterprise.
