Hemlata Rajye, Crown Princess of Marwar (born Princess Hemlata Rajye of Poonch; 02 May 1951) is a member of the Royal Families of Poonch (by birth) and Marwar (by marriage).

Biography

She was born on 2 May 1951 as the eldest daughter of Shiv Rattan Dev Singh, Raja of Poonch, and his wife, Nalini Rajya Lakshmi Devi. [1] [2] She is the maternal granddaughter of Tribhuvan, the King of Nepal, and his wife, Ishwari. [1] She married Gaj Singh, the Maharaja of Jodhpur, on 19 February 1973 in Dehradun. [3] [4] She and her husband have two children: Shivranjani Rajye and Shivraj Singh. [2]

Upon marriage, as wife of the Crown Prince of Marwar, Hemlata Rajye also became the titular Maharani (Queen) Consort of Marwar and would have been styled 'Her Majesty The Maharani/Queen' had the Kingdom of Marwar remained in existence. [2] [5]
