Henry M. Rimisho (born 1969) is a Tanzanian Architect and Lecturer from the Department of Architecture, School of Architecture, Construction, Economics and Management at Ardhi University in Dar es Salaam. He is also a Missionary priest from the Congregation of The Apostles of Jesus based in Nairobi, Kenya. [1] [2]
Rimisho was born in Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam in the United Republic of Tanzania, to Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Rimisho. In 1994, he attended Pontifical Urban University for (Bachelor's degree) in Philosophy and 2000 he attained (Bachelor's degree) in Theology. From 2012 he also attained (Bachelor's degree), in 2014 (Master's degree) and 2020 Doctoral (PhD) in Architecture from Ardhi University. [3]
Henry Rimisho is a member of Architects Association of Tanzania and lectures mostly in urban development and housing, architectural design studio, building materials, profession practice, building service and research methodology. [4] [5] [6] [7]

Dar es Salaam or Mzizima is the largest city and financial hub of Tanzania. It is also the capital of Dar es Salaam Region. With a population of over six million people, Dar is the largest city in East Africa and the seventh-largest in Africa. Located on the Swahili coast, Dar es Salaam is an important economic centre and is one of the fastest-growing cities in the world.
Dodoma, officially Dodoma City, is the national capital of Tanzania and the capital of the Dodoma Region, with a population of 410,956. In 1974, the Tanzanian government announced that the capital would be moved to Dodoma for social and economic reasons and to centralise the capital within the country. It became the official capital in 1996. Much of the initial design did not come to fruition for a long time. In May 2023 the national government under President Samia Suluhu unveiled the new State House in Dodoma in a historic event stamping the relocation of government duties to the city. As a result, Dar es Salaam would remain as the commercial and maritime capital of Tanzania with Dodoma retaining the state house Ikulu, and a large number of government functions.
Mwanza City, also known as Rock City to the residents, is a port city and capital of Mwanza Region on the southern shore of Lake Victoria in north-western Tanzania. With an urban population of 1,182,000 in 2021, it is Tanzania's second largest city, after Dar es Salaam. It is also the second largest city in the Lake Victoria basin after Kampala, Uganda and ahead of Kisumu, Kenya at least in population size. Within the East African community, Mwanza city is the fifth largest city after Dar, Nairobi, Mombasa, and Kampala. It is slightly ahead of Kigali, Kisumu, and Bujumbura in the population of city proper limits. However, in terms of infrastructure, Kigali and Kisumu cities are way ahead of Mwanza. Mwanza city is also the capital city of Mwanza Region, and is administratively divided into two municipal districts within that Region - Ilemela and Nyamagana.
The University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) is a public university located in Ubungo ward of Ubungo District in Dar es Salaam Region of Tanzania. It was established in 1961 as an affiliate college of the University of London. The university became an affiliate of the University of East Africa (UEA) in 1963, shortly after Tanzania gained its independence from the United Kingdom. In 1970, UEA split into three independent universities: Makerere University in Uganda, the University of Nairobi in Kenya, and the University of Dar es Salaam.

Imani Sanga is Professor of Music in the Department of Creative Arts, formerly called Department of Fine and Performing Arts, in the College of Humanities at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Before 1998, SAUT was called first Nyegezi Social Training Centre and then Nyegezi Social Training Institute. SAUT has over 10,000 students with an anticipated minimal rise each new academic year.
