Herbert Klang (born 1908, date of death unknown) [1] was an Austrian ice hockey player. He competed in the men's tournament at the 1928 Winter Olympics. [2] Klang also won ten caps for the national team, and played at the 1929 Ice Hockey European Championship. [3] [4]

The men's ice hockey tournament at the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, United States, was the fourth Olympic Championship, also serving as the sixth World Championships. Canada, represented by the Winnipeg Hockey Club, won its fourth consecutive Olympic gold medal and sixth consecutive World Championship. The United States took the silver medal and Germany claimed one of its three all-time hockey medals by taking the bronze. Overall, four teams participated, with only two European associations making the trip due to the worldwide Great Depression. Sigurdur Franklin Fredrickson was an Icelandic-Canadian ice hockey player and aviator. As a player and coach, he was significant to both the amateur and professional ice hockey as it evolved in North America in the early 20th century. Fredrickson's career was interrupted by military service during the First World War and prematurely ended by a knee injury in 1931.

She represented Italy in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino. Aged 15 years and 228 days, she was the youngest woman to participate in the tournament.

Per Roger Voigt was a Norwegian ice hockey player, born in Oslo, Norway. With his club IK Tigrene he became Norwegian champion twice, in 1957 and 1961. With the Norwegian national team he competed in the 1952 Winter Olympics, and six times in the Ice Hockey World Championships. Their best achievement was in 1951, placing fourth in the World Championships and winning a bronze medal at the European Championships.

The 1920 Summer Olympics ice hockey rosters consisted of 60 players on 7 national ice hockey teams. Played at the Olympic Games for the first time, and later regarded by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) as the first World Championship. Teams were required to be strictly amateur, so players from the Canadian-based National Hockey League (NHL) or other professional leagues were excluded. Debbie Palmer is a British former short track speed skater, who is now a lecturer and researcher. She competed at the 1992 Winter Olympics and the 1994 Winter Olympics. Palmer was ten times British Champion, and twelve times European Championship medalist including 1995 European champion (3000m). She was a World Cup 1500m silver medalist and finished 4th in the 1500m, and ranked 5th overall, at the 1996 World Championships in The Hague, Netherlands.
