Wheels is a bus service that provides public transportation in the Tri-Valley Region of the San Francisco Bay Area, in the United States. Started in 1986, Wheels offers service to various communities in three cities, and connects to Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) and Altamont Corridor Express (ACE) trains for connections to and from the greater Bay Area and Central Valley. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 1,019,400, or about 4,300 per weekday as of the first quarter of 2023.
The Sacramento Regional Transit District, commonly referred to as SacRT, is the agency responsible for public transportation in the Sacramento, California area. It was established on April 1, 1973, as a result of the acquisition of the Sacramento Transit Authority. In addition to operating over 81 bus routes with connecting bus service in the Sacramento area covering 438 square miles (1,134.4 km2), SacRT also operates a large light rail system, which ranks currently as the sixteenth busiest light rail system in the United States. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 9,314,400, or about 41,500 per weekday as of the first quarter of 2023.
Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) is the public transportation operator in the city of Birmingham, Alabama. Created in 1972 to take over transit operations from private operators, it operates 109 buses on 38 routes. It also operates paratransit and "vintage trolley" services. In 2022, the system had 1,856,500 rides, or about 4,700 per weekday as of the first quarter of 2023.
Suffolk County Transit is the provider of bus services in Suffolk County, New York on Long Island and is an agency of the Suffolk County government. It was founded in 1980 as a county-run oversight and funding agency for a group of private contract operators which had previously provided such services on their own. While the physical maintenance and operation of the buses continue to be provided by these providers, other matters ranging from bus purchases to route and schedule planning to fare rules are set by Suffolk Transit itself.

Welland Transit was a public transportation agency in Welland, Ontario, Canada from 1977 to 2022. Upon its inception in 1973 the bus service was operated by a private company, known as "Metro Niagara Transit," funded by the city of Welland, which assumed full operation of the transit system in 1977. On January 1st, 2023, it was merged with St. Catharines Transit and Niagara Falls Transit to form Niagara Region Transit.
The Orangeville Transit System provides local bus service to the Town of Orangeville in central Ontario, Canada. Approval was given by the town council, on April 28, 2008, that the current contract with First Student Canada to operate and maintain the transit buses, should be extended for another year. The Public Works Department administers the contract and is responsible for other non-operational functions. Town of Orangeville transit buses are all fully accessible, although less accessible First Student buses sometimes substitute.
Medicine Hat Transit is the municipal public transportation system operated by Medicine Hat, a small city in southeastern Alberta, Canada. Service is available and accessible to all residents of the community, including specialized transit for persons with disabilities; all of the MHT fleet is fully wheelchair-accessible.
Needles Area Transit (NAT) is the public transportation system, including a Dial-a-Ride program for seniors and persons with disabilities, serving residents of the City of Needles in San Bernardino County, California. The NAT system transports approximately 34,000 riders each year.
The Yuba-Sutter Transit Authority, operating as Yuba-Sutter Transit, is the public transportation agency serving the Yuba–Sutter area in Northern California.
The Northeastern Connecticut Transit District (NECTD) is an agency providing multiple forms of public transportation in northeastern Connecticut. Six fixed routes (with deviation on request) provide week-round service to the towns of Brooklyn, Killingly, Plainfield, Putnam, and Thompson. Using fixed route service connections to WRTD can be made in Killingly and to SEAT in Plainfield respectively. With advance reservation NECTD also offers dial-a-ride service to the general public and door-to-door to select elderly and disabled persons. Dial-a-ride and door-to-door service is available to all towns served by NECTD's fixed routes as well as to Canterbury, Eastford, Hampton, Pomfret, Union, and Woodstock. Following a pilot program which began in 1977, NECTD was founded in October 1979, with its first service beginning in August 1980.
Ogden Express (OGX), is a 5.3-mile (8.5 km) bus rapid transit (BRT) line in southern Ogden, Utah. United States. The line is operated by the Utah Transit Authority (UTA) and runs between the Ogden Central Station and the McKay-Dee Hospital, by way of Weber State University (WSU). It officially opened on August 20, 2023. It is the third of UTA's BRT lines along the Wasatch Front.

The Jackson County Mass Transit District (JCMTD) is a provider of mass transportation in Carbondale, Illinois with five routes serving the region. As of 2019, the system provided 93,691 rides over 28,778 annual vehicle revenue hours with 16 buses. The service provided by JCMTD in Carbondale is complemented by the Saluki Express and the South Central Illinois Mass Transit District.

Maysville City Transit is the primary provider of mass transportation in Maysville, Kentucky with one deviated fixed-route serving the region. As of 2019, the system provided 27,672 rides over 3,942 annual vehicle revenue hours with 7 buses.
Prairieland Transit System is a service of the Southwestern Minnesota Opportunity Council and the primary provider of mass transportation in Worthington, Minnesota. Operations include the fixed-route Worthington City Bus, the intercity Nobles County Heartland Express, and demand-response services across Nobles County. As of 2019, the system provided 25,084 rides over 11,350 annual vehicle revenue hours with 1 buses and 2 paratransit vehicles.
Cass Area Transit is the primary provider of mass transportation in Logansport, Indiana with one route serving the region. As of 2019, the system provided 148,423 rides over 71,225 annual vehicle revenue hours with 2 buses and 24 paratransit vehicles.
