High Point station is an intermodal transit station in High Point, North Carolina, United States. Its main building serves as an Amtrak train station, while the Broad Avenue Terminal serves as the bus terminus for both High Point Transit System (HPTS) and the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation (PART). The station is located in downtown High Point and near the West High Street Historic District.
High Point Station was originally built in 1907, by Southern Railway, and was designed in Richardsonian Romanesque, with a rusticated ashlar base and a tiled hip roof. In the late 1930s, a trench was dug so rail and automobile traffic would not impede each other through downtown High Point; a walkway across the tracks and a staircase to an island platform at track level was constructed. In 1979, Amtrak took over passenger operations at the station from Southern Railway. Between 2002 and 2003, a $6.8 million renovation project was done that included making the station ADA accessible; the station reopened on December 9, 2003. [2] [3]
The train station, operated by Amtrak, provides inter-city rail service via three routes: Crescent , Carolinian and Piedmont . Amtrak operating hours are at 12:00am–4:00am, 7:00am–12:30pm and 3:30pm–9:00pm; it includes a Quik-Trak kiosk, waiting area and restrooms. No baggage service is available at this station. The Broad Avenue Terminal, operated by HPTS, provides local bus service that operate Monday-Friday at 5:45am–7:30pm and Saturday at 8:45am–5:30pm, closed on Sunday. [7] [8] PART also operates two intercity bus routes from the terminal, Route 3 (High Point Express) and Route 9 (Davidson Business 85 Express), which travel to Greensboro and Thomasville/Lexington respectively. Amtrak Thruway service to Winston-Salem State University (Union Station) and Winston-Salem (Clark Campbell Transportation Center) is provided four times a day, Monday–Saturday. This service is operated by PART, designated as Route 5 (NC Amtrak Connector). [11] Amtrak bus departing designations are #6173, #6175, #6177, and #6179; arriving designations are #6174, #6176, #6178, and #6180.
The station building is located on West High Avenue, with a walkway that goes across a 35 ft (11 m) deep trench to the Broad Avenue Terminal. The station's island platform is located in the trench, connected to the walkway by stairs and an elevator.

Everett Station is an Amtrak train station serving the city of Everett, Washington, United States. The station has provided service to the Cascades and Empire Builder routes since its opening in 2002, replacing an earlier station near the Port of Everett. The four-story building also houses social service programs and is the center of a 10-acre (4 ha) complex that includes parking lots and a large bus station used primarily by Community Transit, Everett Transit, and Sound Transit Express. The station has served as the northern terminus of the Sounder N Line since 2003 and the Swift Blue Line since 2009. It consists of two side platforms, one serving Amtrak and the other serving Sounder commuter trains. Everett Station also functions as a park and ride, with 1,067 short-term parking spaces located in lots around the station after it was expanded by Sound Transit in 2009.
Sacramento Valley Station is an Amtrak railway station in the city of Sacramento, California, at 401 I Street on the corner of Fifth Street, built in 1926 on the site of China Slough. It is the thirteenth busiest Amtrak station in the country, and the second busiest in the Western United States. It is served by four different Amtrak train routes and connecting Amtrak Thruway motorcoaches. The Piedmont is a regional passenger train operated by Amtrak and the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), running four round trips daily between Raleigh and Charlotte, North Carolina. It is a sister train to the Carolinian, which runs from Charlotte to New York City. The Piedmont route is coextensive with the southern end of the Carolinian, largely paralleling Interstate 85. It operates along the western portion of the state-owned North Carolina Railroad, which runs from Charlotte to Morehead City. Operations began in May 1995.

The street system is mostly laid out in a north–south/east–west system of roads. While most residents rely on cars, there is a network of bus routes reaching some areas of the county. The Las Vegas Valley, being the one of the largest tourist destinations in the world, has a mass transportation system which favors the Las Vegas Strip.
Humber College is a below-grade light rail transit (LRT) station that is under construction on Line 6 Finch West, a new line that is part of the Toronto subway system. The station will be located at the southwest corner of Highway 27 and Humber College Boulevard on the Humber Polytechnic North Campus in Etobicoke, Toronto. The station will be the western terminus of Line 6, which is expected to open by the end of 2024. A walkway will connect the LRT station to the nearby Humber College Bus Terminal.
