Murray is a city situated on the Wasatch Front in the core of Salt Lake Valley in the U.S. state of Utah. Named for territorial governor Eli Murray, and according to the 2020 census, Murray had a population of 50,637. Murray shares borders with Taylorsville, Holladay, South Salt Lake, Millcreek and West Jordan, Utah. Once teeming with heavy industry, Murray's industry mix has now shifted significantly toward healthcare, retail, and professional, scientific, and technical services. Known for its central location in Salt Lake County, Murray has been called the Hub of Salt Lake County. Unlike most of its neighboring communities, Murray operates its own police, fire, power, water, library, and parks and recreation departments and has its own school district. While maintaining many of its own services, Murray has one of the lowest city tax rates in the state.

Etuini Haloti Ngata is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Oregon Ducks, earning consensus All-American honors. Ngata was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft, and was voted to the Pro Bowl five times. Ngata played for the Ravens for nine seasons before being traded to the Detroit Lions before the 2015 NFL season. Ngata was also a member of the Philadelphia Eagles for one season in 2018 before retiring.
Orem High School is a high school in Orem, Utah, part of the Alpine School District. It was originally built in 1956, and has since undergone major renovations. The old school building was torn down and a replacement was built in what was the former building's parking lot, in 2010.

Luther John Elliss is an American former professional football player who was a defensive tackle for 10 seasons in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Utah Utes, and was recognized as a consensus All-American. Selected in the first round of the 1995 NFL Draft, Elliss played professionally for the Detroit Lions and Denver Broncos of the NFL and was a two-time Pro Bowler. He worked as the defensive line coach at Idaho from 2017 until being named defensive tackles coach at Utah in 2022. He has four sons that also play football: Kaden, Christian, Noah, and Jonah.
The BYU Cougars are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent Brigham Young University (BYU), located in Provo, Utah. BYU fields 21 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) varsity athletic teams. They are a member of the Big 12 Conference for all sports except men's volleyball which is a member of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. They were a member of the West Coast Conference from 2011 to 2022. From 1999 to 2011 they were a member of the Mountain West Conference and before the formation of the MW, the Cougars competed in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, the Mountain States Conference, and the Western Athletic Conference. BYU officially joined the Big 12 Conference on July 1, 2023.

The Highland rugby team has compiled an unrivaled winning record since its founding in 1976. He also hosts a weekend travel show, heard on KNRS and KNRS-FM in Salt Lake City and syndicated to other radio stations.
Lone Peak High School (LPHS) is a public high school in Highland, Utah, United States. Part of the Alpine School District, in northern Utah County, it was built in 1997 to serve students in the cities of Alpine, Highland, and Cedar Hills. Lone Peak High School was given athletic 5A status beginning at the 2005-2006 school year. However, it has since been given a 6A status. The school mascot is a knight.
Hendrick Hamilton Lusk is an American former professional football player who was a tight end for two seasons for the New Orleans Saints, Green Bay Packers and Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected in the seventh round of the 1996 NFL Draft. In 2010, Lusk became the head coach of the John F. Kennedy High School football team in Sacramento, California. He resigned from coaching John F. Kennedy High School due to a lewd photo of him surfacing.

Starlite Lotulelei Jr. is a Tongan former professional American football defensive tackle. He was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft. He played college football at University of Utah, and shared the Morris Trophy for the best lineman in the Pac-12 Conference.

Noah Sewell is an American football linebacker for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL). A native of American Samoa, he and his family moved to Utah in 2012 before playing college football at Oregon, where he was named the Pac-12 Defensive Freshman of the Year in 2020 before being selected by the Bears in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. Sewell is the younger brother of NFL players Penei and Nephi Sewell.
