"María" is a song recorded by Puerto Rican singer Ricky Martin for his third studio album, A Medio Vivir (1995). The song was written by Ian Blake, Luis Gómez Escolar, and KC Porter, while the production was handled by Porter, Tom Vickers, and Steve Berkowitz. A Spanish language flamenco, dance, and salsa song, it is about an attractive but dangerous woman called "María". Lyrically, the midtempo throwback disco and pop song sees Trainor trying to reach a compromise with a feuding lover.
Mikaela Mullaney Straus, known by her stage name King Princess, is an American singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from Brooklyn, New York. She is signed to Mark Ronson's label Zelig Records, an imprint of Columbia Records. In February 2018, King Princess released her debut single "1950", from her debut extended play (EP) Make My Bed, released later that year. The song was a commercial success, charting in multiple territories, and was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Her second single, "Talia", was certified gold in Australia by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). King Princess released her debut studio album Cheap Queen in 2019 to widespread critical acclaim.
"1950" is the debut single recorded by American singer-songwriter King Princess. It was released on December 10, 2017, by Zelig Recordings as the lead single from her debut EP, titled Make My Bed. "1950" is a tribute to the 1952 novel The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith. The song was performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Saturday Night Live on November 8 and November 23, 2019 alongside her other single "Hit the Back".
"Just Got Paid" is a song by English DJ and record producer Sigala, singer Ella Eyre, and American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor from the former of the three's debut studio album, Brighter Days (2018). The song features a guest appearance by rapper French Montana. The performers co-wrote it with Steve Manovski, George Astasio, Jon Shave, Nile Rodgers, and Jason Pebworth, with production from Sigala, Manovski and Joakim Jarl. Ministry of Sound Recordings and B1 Recordings released it on 7 September 2018, as the tenth and final single from the album. The funk and electronic dance music song has a disco vibe, "poppy" vocals and its lyrics deal with living a luxurious lifestyle despite not being wealthy.
"Don't Feel Like Crying" is a song by Norwegian singer-songwriter Sigrid, recorded for her debut studio album, Sucker Punch (2019). It was released on 17 January 2019 as the record's fourth single. A pop break-up anthem, its lyrics discuss moving through a breakup positively and postponing heartbreak. The track received positive reviews from music critics for its encouraging message. On the same day "Sadder Badder Cooler", the re-issue's opening track, was released as a single with two official remixes by The Presets and King Arthur. Remixes by Banx & Ranx, MUTO, Y2K, and Liu followed on 17 July, 31 July, 7 August, and 4 September 2020 respectively. The song's music video, animated by Venturia Animation Studios and Dreambear Productions, depicts a cartoon Lo and her animal sidekick Sunshine Kitty "on a Kill Bill-style mission to take down several Disney princes.

The song's official music video features Straus as a "crying 3D avatar of herself" that Billboard called "trippy" and "far from anything you would have expected from her."
"Lady Like" is a song by American singer-songwriter Ingrid Andress from her debut studio album of the same name (2020). It was written by Andress, Sam Ellis and Derrick Southerland, with Andress and Ellis handling the production. The track was originally released as Andress' debut single under Warner Music Nashville for digital download and streaming on February 22, 2019, and was later re-released as the third single off her debut album in October 2020 by the aforementioned label. A country pop song, "Lady Like" is about resisting gender stereotypes. Andress wrote the song after going out with a man who rejected her when she started talking about politics. She also used her personal experiences of being expected to act like a woman as inspiration for the track.
