"1950" is the debut single recorded by American singer-songwriter King Princess. It was released on December 10, 2017, by Zelig Recordings as the lead single from her debut EP, titled Make My Bed . "1950" is a tribute to the 1952 novel The Price of Salt by Patricia Highsmith. [3] The song was performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and Saturday Night Live on November 8 and November 23, 2019 alongside her other single "Hit the Back". [4] [5]
