Homeshake (stylized as HOMESHAKE) is the solo musical project of Montreal-based singer-songwriter and musician Peter Sagar. [1]

Contents

Featuring contributions from Mark Goetz, Greg Napier, and Brad Loughead, the project started in 2012. In 2014, he left Mac DeMarco's live band to focus on the Homeshake project; [2] Fixture Records released his debut cassette, The Homeshake Tape, in January 2013 with a second, titled Dynamic Meditation released in October 2013. This was followed by his debut full-length album, In the Shower (2014) and his second album, Midnight Snack (2015). [1] His third album under the project, Fresh Air was released in 2017. [3] [4] His fourth album, Helium was released in 2019.

Helium is the fourth studio album by Canadian musician Peter Sagar, under his solo project Homeshake. It was released on February 15, 2019 through Sinderlyn Records. In an interview with Flaunt Magazine, Peter explained his songwriting on this record process: “I just make songs and then try to string them together as well as I can. People I think often expect there to be premeditated thoughts in the way that I make music, but it’s really just that I make a lot of songs and then the ones that stick, that stay in my head, I finish, and then I do my best to glue them together in the album.”
