Established in 1991, The Hong Kong Chefs Association (HKCA), is a professional association and resource for professional chefs in Hong Kong, and the only professional chefs organization in Hong Kong that is a member of, and recognized by, the World Association of Chefs Societies(WACS).
In early 2007, the HKCA Executive Committee fostered the formation of a separate daughter organization, the Hong Kong Young Chefs Club (HKYCC). The HKYCC was established to provide a similar but independent forum for culinary students and young professional chefs aged 18 to 25. The HKYCC is currently one of only four such groups that is recognized by WACS. [1]
In June 2008 WACS President Gissur Gudmundsson appointed the Chairman of the HKYCC, Francis Lo, as a member of the WACS Board advising on future young chefs programs. [2]
One of the primary missions of the HKCA is to provide active support to the local and international community with charitable efforts and community outreach. In addition to normal fundraising and donation for international disaster relief, it annually fields teams of chefs to compete in the Hong Chi Climbathon, [3] provides judging and support for the Best Buddies Hong Kong Cookery Competitions, [4] and on each International Chefs Day prepares two buffets for thousands of students of both the Hong Chi and Fu Hong societies. [5]
Such charitable and community work has led The Hong Kong Council of Social Service to award the HKCA the Caring Organization status for 2007–2008. [6]

The Hong Kong national football team represents Hong Kong in international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Hong Kong, China, the governing body for football in Hong Kong.
Hong Kong cuisine is mainly influenced by Cantonese cuisine, European cuisines and non-Cantonese Chinese cuisines, as well as Japanese, Korean and Southeast Asian cuisines, due to Hong Kong's past as a British colony and a long history of being an international port of commerce. Complex combinations and international gourmet expertise have given Hong Kong the labels of "Gourmet Paradise" and "World's Fair of Food".
The Hong Kong men's national cricket team is the team that represents Hong Kong in international competitions. It played its first match in 1866 and has been an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1969.
The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is a six-a-side international cricket tournament held at the Kowloon Cricket Club comprising between eight and twelve teams. Organised by Cricket Hong Kong, it is sanctioned by the International Cricket Council. The tournament is designed for television viewing, with rules and a venue that encourage aggressive batting and high scoring. Because every player is required to bowl one over, the format suits all-rounders.
The 2009 East Asian Games, officially known as the V East Asian Games, was an international multi-sport event that hosted by Hong Kong, between 5 December and 13 December 2009. A total of 2,377 athletes from 9 East Asian national competed in 262 events in 22 sports. It was the biggest sporting event ever held in the territory.
The 2006–07 Hong Kong FA Cup was the 33rd staging of the Hong Kong FA Cup. The competition started on 21 April 2007 with 10 Hong Kong First Division clubs. Four of them took part in the first round to determine which team advanced to the quarter-finals. From quarter finals onward, the cup competition was a single-elimination tournament.

Hong Kong competed under the name "Hong Kong, China" at the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing, People's Republic of China. Hong Kong sent 21 athletes to compete in eight events at the Beijing Games. Although Hong Kong's NPC was a separate member of the IPC, Hong Kong hosted the equestrian events.

The International Exhibition of Culinary Art, termed the Culinary Olympics, is a quadrennial chef competition, and the biggest culinary exhibition in the world. Last held in 2020, the event has in recent years been organised in Stuttgart, Germany.
Eyck Zimmer is an English chef. He was awarded the Chef of the Year in Great Britain 2006 and the Chef of the Year in Portugal 2008. Eyck's initial training was at the Erfurter Hof, part of the Interhotel chain. He then worked in a number of well-known hotels in Europe, Palasthotel, Grand Hotel Regina, The Dorchester, The Berkeley (London), The Lanesborough (London), Claridge's (London), The Ritz (London), Choupana Hills in Madeira and the Lowry Hotel in Manchester, UK. Andel's Berlin Hotel, Germany. From 2010 to 2014 he held the position of Chef de Cuisine at the Hong Kong Jockey Clubs Derby Restaurant. and Bar in Hong Kong SAR. Eyck returned 2014 in the capacity of Culinary Director to the andels hotel Berlin with its skykitchen restaurant, gaining 1* Michelin the same year. After that he was the Chef de Cuisine at the Adlon in Berlin Germany for a short period of time. Currently he is the Culinary Director at the Square Nine Hotel in Belgrade Serbia, a small luxury five star hotel and member of the Leading Hotels of the World.
Jeannie Cho Lee is a Hong Kong–based, Korean-American wine critic, author, journalist, consultant, wine educator and Master of Wine, the first ethnic Asian to achieve this accreditation. She was 25th on Decanter's Power List 2013.
The Hong Kong Chess Federation is the governing body for chess in Hong Kong

The Bocuse d'Or is a biennial world chef championship. Named for the chef Paul Bocuse, the event takes place during two days near the end of January in Lyon, France, at the SIRHA International Hotel, Catering and Food Trade Exhibition, and is one of the world's most prestigious cooking competitions.
Hong Kong competed in the 2017 Asian Winter Games in Sapporo and Obihiro, Japan from February 19 to 26. The country competed in two sports.
