David "Hoss" Wright is an American drummer [1] who has played for The Exies, and Nick Oliveri and the Mondo Generator. While part of Mondo Generator, he wrote some songs for the album Dead Planet with Nick Oliveri. [2] His musical career began around the time he was 13 in Richmond, Virginia. He was a member of the local band Black Widow and he was the drummer of the band "JUD" based in Los Angeles. Currently working with Los Angeles based songwriter Richard James Munoz for new album release in 2017.

Kyuss American rock band

Kyuss was an American rock band, formed in Palm Desert, California in 1987. The band disbanded in 1995, and since then, members of Kyuss have gone on to form or play in several notable bands including Queens of the Stone Age, Fu Manchu, Dwarves, Eagles of Death Metal, Mondo Generator, Hermano, Unida, Slo Burn and Them Crooked Vultures.

Nick Oliveri American musician

Nick Steven Oliveri is an American multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter from Los Angeles, California. He is perhaps best known as a former member of Kyuss and later Queens of the Stone Age from 1998 to 2004. Oliveri is also a solo artist and frequent contributor to his friends' albums and tours, including Winnebago Deal, Mark Lanegan Band, Masters of Reality, Turbonegro and Moistboyz, among many others. He is currently the frontman of his project, Mondo Generator, a punk and metal hybrid that he formed in 1997. He has also worked periodically with the Dwarves since 1993.

John Garcia (singer) American singer

John Garcia is an American singer and songwriter. He is best known as the vocalist and founding member of stoner rock bands Kyuss, Slo Burn, and Unida. Although the band broke up in 2014 after a falling out that caused Garcia to leave the band, Garcia later performed in Vista Chino with former Kyuss drummer Brant Bjork. Garcia and Bjork have since decided to continue their individual solo projects, with Garcia releasing his debut album John Garcia in 2014.

Brant Bjork is an American musician, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer from Palm Desert, California. He is perhaps best known as the drummer and founder of the influential Californian stoner rock band Kyuss. Bjork played in Vista Chino, along with former Kyuss vocalist John Garcia, up until October 2014, at which point Nick Oliveri announced that there was a falling out and that Bjork and Garcia would continue working on their solo projects. He is one of the more notable figures in the stoner rock and Palm Desert scenes and maintains a prolific solo career with over a dozen released albums.

Alfredo Hernández is an American drummer best known as a former member of desert rock bands Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Brant Bjork and the Bros and Yawning Man, and as a current member of his new band, Avon. He is jazz trained.

Molly McGuire is a multi-talented visual artist currently based in New Orleans, LA. Her canvases center around the theme of "Circus Banners of the Mind." In 2014, McGuire painted the complete line of circus banners for the 20th Century Fox television series: American Horror Story Freak Show. Working under the moniker “Magwire,” Molly's art is created from re-appropriated canvas drop cloths and custom tinted house paint salvaged from movie sets. The banners tend to reflect contemporary folklore and mythology presented as a carnival advertisement, or circus banner.

A Drug Problem That Never Existed is the second studio album by American rock band Mondo Generator. It takes its name from a line in The Frogs' "I've Got Drugs ", from their album It's Only Right and Natural. Much of the material was inspired by mixed emotions brought about by the divorce of singer Nick Oliveri and also his substance abuses and the death of his father.

<i>III the EP</i> 2004 EP by Mondo Generator

III the EP is an extended play record released by Mondo Generator on November 22, 2004 by Tornado Records. This was the first release after Nick Oliveri was fired from Queens of the Stone Age. Mondo Generator embarked on a short European tour in support of this release in late 2004.

Winnebago Deal are a British rock band from Oxford, England. They formed in the late 1990s at Bartholomew School in Eynsham, with Ben Perrier and Ben Thomas (drums). Perrier and Thomas decided to perform as a duo after ejecting some early members. Their sound has been compared to Queens of the Stone Age and the bands who recorded for Sub Pop Records. Winnebago Deal generated strong support from many appearances at Oxford's Zodiac club, eventually supporting Fugazi at London's Forum. Their first release was the EP Plata O Plomo in 2003. They were nominated as Best British Newcomer at that year's Kerrang! awards.

Mondo Generator

Mondo Generator is an American rock band founded in 1997 by Nick Oliveri. The name of the band originated when Brant Bjork spray-painted the words on the side of Oliveri's Sunn amplifier. Mondo means "world" in Italian. The Oliveri-penned Kyuss song appearing on the 1992 album Blues for the Red Sun also took its name from this event, and the amplifier itself appears in the artwork for the album.

<i>Demolition Day</i> 2004 studio album by Nick Oliveri

Demolition Day is former Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss bassist/vocalist Nick Oliveri's first solo acoustic album. The album was recorded in 2003 and 2004 at Dave Grohl's Studio 606. The album features Oliveri on bass, vocals, guitars and percussion, as well as horns and guitars from other various artists. It was released in 2004 on vinyl only, but a split CD featuring six tracks from the album and four tracks from Mondo Generator was also released.

Dead Planet is the third studio album by former Queens of the Stone Age and Kyuss bassist/vocalist Nick Oliveri and his band, Mondo Generator. The album was recorded in late 2005 and early 2006 at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 and at Donner & Blitzen studios. The album features Oliveri on bass, vocals, guitars and drums, Hoss Wright on drums, and Ben Perrier, Ben Thomas and Marc Diamond among others.

Scott Stevens is an American-born songwriter, producer, singer and instrumentalist. In April 2015, he signed an exclusive publishing deal with Lava Music Publishing, a venture with Kobalt Publishing. He co-wrote eight songs on the 2015 Halestorm album, Into the Wild Life, which debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200. Stevens also co-wrote, produced and mixed three songs for the 2015 Shinedown album Threat to Survival. The former singer and guitarist for The Exies has scored five number one singles in the last year and a half, with hits from Halestorm, Nothing More and Skillet among them.

Australian Tour EP 2008 is an EP by Mondo Generator containing a mix of studio, acoustic, and live material. It was released to coincide with their first Australian tour in August 2008. The live tracks feature an early lineup from 2004.

Marc Diamond is an American lead guitarist best known for his work with seminal hardcore band Dwarves as well as the Los Angeles hard rock outfit Motochrist. He previously played in the bands Texas Terri Bomb, and Mondo Generator. His work has been featured in both TV and film, and has appeared on myriad recordings by other artists.

<i>Hell Comes to Your Heart</i> 2012 studio album by Mondo Generator

Hell Comes to Your Heart is an album released in 2012 by Mondo Generator on Nick Oliveri's vanity label, Mondo Media, and distributed worldwide through Cobraside Distribution. It was recorded in 3 days at Josh Homme's Pink Duck Studios in Burbank, California by Justin Smith. This album marks the first time that Nick Oliveri and his previous bandmate, Josh Homme, have recorded music together since their well-publicized falling out in early 2004. Homme appears on lead guitar on the final track, "The Last Train." Also appearing on that song is Homme and Oliveri's previous bandmate in Kyuss and Kyuss Lives!, John Garcia. The song was recorded before Homme filed suit against Garcia over the Kyuss band name.
