House in the Woods is the upcoming sixth and final studio album by the musical project Low Roar, releasing February 7, 2025, through Tonequake Records. [1] It features vocals from Ryan Karazija, who died in October of 2022 [2] but had recorded all of his parts for the album prior to his death, making it the group's only posthumous album. [3] The songs "Field of Dreams" and "Just How It Goes" were released as singles. [4] [5]
On September 20, 2022, lead vocalist Ryan Karazija posted on social media announcing the band's discography was going to be released on limited edition vinyl, along with mentioning a "new album called 'house in the woods'" in the same post. [6]
On October 29, 2022, it was announced that Karazija had passed away due to complications from pneumonia. [7] [8] Announcements also mentioned that a sixth album was in production and "[would] be completed and released when it is ready." [9] [10]
Over the course of 2023, producer Andrew Scheps would give updates on the band's social media about physical media releases and, at the end of the year, would give more updates regarding the production of the final album [11] with periodic updates being posted throughout 2024.
On October 27, 2024, Scheps announced that the album was completed and would be released on February 7, 2025. [1] [3] The announcement also revealed the release date for two singles off the album; the lead single "Field of Dreams" on December 6, [12] [4] and a second single on January 3, later revealed to be the song "Just How It Goes." Binaural is the sixth studio album by American rock band Pearl Jam, released May 16, 2000, through Epic Records. Following a full-scale tour in support of its previous album, Yield (1998), Pearl Jam took a short break before reconvening toward the end of 1999 to begin work on a new album. During the production of the album, the band encountered hindrances such as singer Eddie Vedder's writer's block, and guitarist Mike McCready's entrance into rehabilitation due to an addiction to prescription drugs. This is Pearl Jam's first album to feature former Soundgarden drummer Matt Cameron, who joined during 1998's Yield Tour to replace Jack Irons.
Hideo Kojima is a Japanese video game designer. Regarded as one of the first auteurs of video games, he developed a strong passion for film and literature during his childhood and adolescence, which in turn has had a significant influence on his games. In 1986, Kojima joined Konami, for which he directed, designed and wrote Metal Gear (1987) for the MSX2, the game that laid the foundations for the stealth genre and the Metal Gear franchise, his best known and most acclaimed work.
