Housing and Building Research Institute (HBRI) is an autonomous organization under Government of Bangladesh Ministry of Housing and Public Works. [2]

The institute was established through the passing of the Housing and Building Research Institutes Act 2016. [3]

The institute has a total of 153 personnel including 33 qualified research personnel. All activities including R & D programme are now being executed through the following Divisions and Sections:

A biosafety level (BSL), or pathogen/protection level, is a set of biocontainment precautions required to isolate dangerous biological agents in an enclosed laboratory facility. The levels of containment range from the lowest biosafety level 1 (BSL-1) to the highest at level 4 (BSL-4). In the United States, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have specified these levels. In the European Union, the same biosafety levels are defined in a directive. In Canada the four levels are known as Containment Levels. Facilities with these designations are also sometimes given as P1 through P4, as in the term P3 laboratory.

University of Dhaka Public University located in Dhaka, Bangladesh

University of Dhaka is the oldest university in Bangladesh. Nawab Sir Khwaja Salimullah played a pioneering role in establishing the university in Dhaka donated 600 acres of land from his estate for this purpose. On the first day of July 1921 the University of Dhaka opened its doors to students with Sir P.J. Hartog as the first Vice-Chancellor of the University in British Raj, it has made significant contributions to the modern history of Bangladesh. After the Partition of India, it became the focal point of progressive and democratic movements in Pakistan. Its students and teachers played a central role in the rise of Bengali nationalism and the independence of Bangladesh in 1971.

Institute of Chemical Technology Chemical Engineering and Technology Research University in Mumbai, India

Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), formerly the University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), is a public deemed university specialized in chemical technology located in Mumbai, India. The institute also has campuses at Jalna, Marathwada and Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is focused on training and research in fields of chemical engineering, chemical technology, and pharmacy. It was established in 1933 and was granted deemed university status in 2008, making it the only state-funded deemed university in India. On 12 February 2018 it was given status of Category 1 institute with graded autonomy by MHRD and UGC. It is also an institute with a special status as mentioned in SECTION IV of the Report of the Empowered Expert Committee in 2018.
