Hitman Howie Tee (born Howard Thompson) is an English-born hip-hop DJ and producer of Jamaican origin, but raised in Brooklyn. Howie Tee is best known for his work with U.T.F.O, Chubb Rock, Special Ed and The Real Roxanne. [1]
Howie got his start in the early ’80s as a member of the electro hip-hop group CDIII, [2] who released two singles on Prelude Records. Howie, along with Kangol Kid of U.T.F.O, produced the group Whistle, best known for the 1985 song "(Nothing Serious) Just Buggin'". He then became the in-house producer for New Jersey–based independent label Select Records." I Got It Made" by Special Ed and "Treat em' Right" by Chubb Rock were produced by Hitman Howie Tee. In 1991 he mixed and co-produced the Billboard #1 "I Wanna Sex You Up" by Color Me Badd. He has also had many #1 hits with Color Me Badd. He has also done remixes for Madonna, Heavy D, Maxi Priest, Little Shawn among others.
Howie mentored a teenaged Spencer Bellamy, [3] who went on to release the underground hip-hop classic [4] "Tried By 12" under the name East Flatbush Project.

Color Me Badd is an American contemporary R&B group that was formed in 1985 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, by lead singer Bryan Abrams, tenor Mark Calderon, second tenor Sam Watters and baritone Kevin Thornton. Color Me Badd broke up in 1998 before reuniting in 2010, with various lineups since.
Samuel Joshua Watters is an American singer, songwriter, record producer and record executive. Watters was a member of the multi-platinum selling 1990s R&B group Color Me Badd and co-authored many of their hits including "I Adore Mi Amor", and "All 4 Love". Watters has also written and produced songs for Grammy-winning and nominated artists such as American Idol winners Fantasia, Kelly Clarkson and Jordin Sparks, and other superstars such as Céline Dion, Whitney Houston, Leona Lewis, and Anastacia. Watters is a member of the production/songwriting team The Runaways including fellow hitmakers Rico Love, Wayne Wilkins, Ryan Tedder, and Louis Biancaniello.
Edward K. Archer, known professionally as Special Ed, is an American rapper and producer. Ed is perhaps best known for the songs "I Got It Made", "Think About It" and "I'm the Magnificent" from his debut album Youngest in Charge, released in 1989 when he was 17 years old.
Richard Anthony Simpson, also known as Chubb Rock, is a Jamaican-American rapper who released several successful hip hop albums in the late 1980s and early 1990s. A National Merit Scholar, Chubb Rock dropped out of Brown University to pursue his musical career.
