Huang Chia-hsin (born 7 July 1984) [1] is a badminton player and coach from Taiwan.

Career

She developed her badminton skills while attending Taipei Municipal Shezi Elementary School  [ zh ], Taipei Municipal Chengyuan High School  [ zh ], Datong High School, George Vocational High School of Taipei  [ zh ], and Taipei Municipal Song Shan Senior High School. [2] Huang was among the first group of students in Song Shan Senior High School's new badminton club. [3] A 2002 Min Sheng Bao article said, "Huang Chia-hsin is 164 cm tall, which is considered petite, but her footwork is good, and her personality is cheerful." [2] She competed at the 2005 World Badminton Championships in Anaheim and reached the second round, losing to first seed Zhang Ning from China. Her older sister Huang Chia-chi is also a badminton player and taught her the sport. [4] Huang was the bronze medalist at the 1999 Asian Junior Championships in the girls' team event. [5]

A 2005 article in Min Sheng Bao about the MMOA Cup National tournament said, "The disadvantage of Huang Chia-hsin's playing is that she lacks confidence in herself." She thought she had insufficient practice despite having practiced with the national team so was unsure about "defend[ing] her title". The article noted, "In the final, Huang Chia-hsin cut the ball sharply, successfully mobilized Jian Yujin, and defended well." [6]

Wang Chi-lin is a Taiwanese badminton player who specializes in doubles. He is the 2020 and 2024 Olympics men's doubles champion, becoming the first unseeded men's doubles pair ever in olympic history to win consecutive gold medals. He also won the men's doubles bronze medals at the 2018 World Championships, 2022 Asian Games, and at the 2023 Asian Championships. He reached a career high as World number 2 in September 2022 with his current partner Lee Yang. Wang also competed in the mixed doubles, winning the gold medal at the 2017 Summer Universiade with Lee Chia-hsin, with their career high were number 10 in the BWF World Rankings in June 2018.

All in 700 is a 2016 Taiwanese television series starring Darren Chiu, Jessie Chang, Ikeya Chen, Lung Shao-hua, Jason King and Ting Chiang. Filming began on June 24, 2015 and wrapped up on June 8, 2016. First original broadcast began on November 23, 2016 on TTV airing every weekdays night at 8:00-9:00 pm.

Shih Kuei-chun is a Taiwanese male badminton player. He was born in Pingtung County, and in 2014 he became the finalist of the Chinese Taipei national badminton championships in the men's singles event. He lose to Hsu Jen-hao with the score 1-2. He also the semifinalist of the 2014 Canada Open Grand Prix tournament. In 2016, he became the runner-up of the Maurice's Pools and Spas Waikato International tournament in the men's singles event.

Tseng Min-hao is a Taiwanese badminton player.

Huang Chia-chi is a Taiwanese badminton player who competed for the Chinese Taipei at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics. Huang later represented Australia in the international tournament, and competed at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. She has won the New Zealand Open and Australian Open in 2004 and 2006. Huang was awarded as the Sportswomen of the Year by the Badminton Victoria in 2006 and 2007. Her sister Huang Chia-hsin is also a badminton player.

Tsai Hui-min is a former Taiwanese badminton player. She represented Chinese Taipei at the 1996 and 2000 Summer Olympics in the women's doubles event partnered with Chen Li-chin. They were one of eight pairs that qualified and competed at the 2000 World Grand Prix Finals in Brunei.

Hung Shih-chieh is a Taiwanese badminton player. Hung who attended Kaohsiung High School, was part of the national junior team that won the bronze medal at the 2004 Asian Junior Championships in the girls' team event. Hung later educated at the Taipei Municipal Institute of Physical Education became the runner-up at the 2007 and 2008 National College Sports Games in the women's singles event. At the international senior level, she was the women's doubles champion at the 2008 U.S. Open, and the semi-finalists in the women's singles event. She represented Chinese Taipei at the 2010 Asian Games.

Chen Kue-sen is a Taiwanese weightlifter. He competed at the 1968 Summer Olympics and the 1972 Summer Olympics.

Chiu Yuh-chuan is a Taiwanese weightlifter and coach. He competed in the men's bantamweight event at the 1984 Summer Olympics. Chiu set several national records during his weightlifting career. He taught at Chih Cheng Junior High School in Pingtung and Taipei Physical Education College. By 2000, he had become a national weightlifting coach.

Chiang Ming-hsiung is a Taiwanese weightlifter. He competed in the men's flyweight event at the 1988 Summer Olympics.

Chang Shun-chien is a Taiwanese weightlifter. He competed in the men's lightweight event at the 1988 Summer Olympics.

Wu Tsai-fu is a Taiwanese weightlifter. He competed in the men's light heavyweight event at the 1996 Summer Olympics where he placed 14th. He has competed in the fourth, fifth, and sixth weight classes in Taiwanese weightlifting contests. Wu received a silver medal in the clean and jerk event and a bronze medal in the total weight lifted at the 1997 Asian Weightlifting Championships. By 1997, Wu had set almost 20 national records.

Born for the Spotlight is a 2024 Taiwanese drama series directed and co-written by Yen Yi-wen. Starring Hsieh Ying-xuan, Cheryl Yang, and Hsueh Shih-ling, the series revolves around the stardom of actresses in Taiwan’s entertainment industry. The series consists of 12 episodes and had its world premiere of the first three episodes at the 29th Busan International Film Festival, followed by a release on Netflix on 7 November 2024.
