Hugh Parsons Mills (6 June 1873 – 26 March 1905) [1] [2] [3] [4] was a New Zealand rugby union player who represented the All Blacks in 1897. His position of choice was forward. Mills did not play in any test matches as New Zealand did not play their first until 1903.
Although born in Timaru, Mills played club rugby for the Tukapa club in Taranaki.
He established himself as an all-round forward, although his preferred position was wing-forward (modern day flanker). [3] [5]
He played 12 games for the Taranaki union between 1896 and 1899. [5]
After playing in the inaugural North against South Island match, Mills was selected for the national side on their 11-match tour of Australia in 1897. [3] [5]
Mills played in eight matches on the tour, scoring four tries, which totalled 12 points. [5]
Mills was a farmer, [6] and his wife's name was Charlotte. [4] He died in 1905 after an illness [7] at the age of 31, and was buried at Tataraimaka Cemetery. [4] [6]
The 1972–73 New Zealand rugby union tour of the Britain, Ireland, France and North America was a collection of rugby union test match games undertaken by the All Blacks against England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and France. The tour also took in several matches against British, Irish, French and North American club, county and invitational teams. This was the seventh tour of the Northern Hemisphere. It was also the first time the All Blacks lost to the invitational Barbarians team.

Beethoven Algar, commonly known as Beet, was a New Zealand rugby union player. William Cunningham was a New Zealand rugby union player who represented New Zealand—known as the All Blacks—between 1901 and 1908. Most notably he toured with the Original All Blacks on their 1905–06 tour of the British Isles, France and North America. They were the first New Zealand representative team to visit the British Isles, and of their 32 matches there Cunningham played in 23.
