Huseyn Hasanov (born 26 September 1986) is a Paralympian athlete from Azerbaijan competing mainly in T46 classification track and field events. [1]

Hasanov represented his country at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London, where he competed in two events, the long jump and triple jump. He finished on the podium in the long jump, taking the bronze medal but was unable to improve on his first jump of 13.74 in the triple jump leaving him in fourth place. [2] As well as Paralympic success, Hasanov has medaled at the IPC World Championships winning gold in the triple jump at the 2011 World Championships in Christchurch. [2]

Hasanov has been recognized several times by his country for services to athletics. In 2009 he was named Paralympic Athlete of the Year in Azerbaijan, and after winning his Paralympic bronze mdalin London he was awarded the Taraggi Medal by then president Ilham Aliyev. [2]

The 2013 IPC Athletics World Championships was the biggest track and field competition for athletes with a disability since the 2012 Summer Paralympics. It was held in Lyon, France, and lasted from 20 to 28 July. Around 1,100 athletes competed, from 94 different countries. The event was held in the Stade du Rhône located at the Parc de Parilly in Vénissieux, in Lyon Metropolis.

Ndodomzi Jonathan Ntutu is a visually impaired South African sprinter. Ndodomzi Jonathan Ntutu is currently South Africa's fastest ever para-athlete. His 10.80 was posted on April 12, 2018, during the heats of the Commonwealth Games. Competing in the T12 classification, Ntutu has competed at three Summer Paralympic Games, winning bronze in the 2012 Games in London. He is also a multiple World Championships winner, taking five medals over four tournaments.

Lenine Cunha is a Paralympic athlete from Portugal who competes in T20 classification long jump and triple jump events. Cunha represented Portugal at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney, in both the long jump and the 100 metre sprint. It would be 12 years until Cunha could again compete at the Paralympics due to the T20 classification being removed from the program due to a scandal at the 2000 Games in Sydney. With the reintroduction of the T20 class at the 2012 London Games he finished third to take the bronze medal in the long jump. In 2015 Cunha won the gold medal in the triple jump at the IPC World Championships in Doha.

He also represented the United States at the Summer Paralympics in 2012, 2016 and 2021.
