Hwang Young-shik (born 13 November 1990) is a South Korean equestrian athlete. During the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou he won individual gold and team gold in dressage representing South Korea. [1] In 2014 during the 2014 Asian Games defended his title by winning again individual gold and team gold. [2] In 2018 he decided not to focus on the Asian Games but moved to Germany to train and to qualify for the Olympic Games. [3] The following year 2019 he obtained an individual team spot for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. [4]

The South Korea men's national volleyball team represents South Korea in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Korea Volleyball Association. Hwang Sun-ho is a former South Korean badminton player. He played badminton since in elementary school in Jeonju with his teammates former Olympic gold medalists, Kim Dong-moon and Ha Tae-kwon. Hwang affiliated with SEMCO team since 1997, emerge as national team singles ace after Lee Kwang-jin, Kim Hak-kyun and Park Sung-woo retired. He was part of the national team that won the gold medal in 1997 East Asian Games, and a bronze medal at the 1998 Asian Games. The best individual achievements in his career was being a champion in 1999 Hungarian International tournament in the men's singles event. Hwang represented his country competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in the men's singles event, reaching into the third round. Hwang joined the conscription in South Korea for two years, and returned to play with SEMCO team. In 2004, he started his badminton career in Japan, invited by Park Sung-woo who was a coach there. He returned to Korea in 2005, and began a career as a coach in Hwasun County. He then became a badminton coach in Gyeonggi Province, and also member of Gyeonggi Badminton Federation. Hwang graduated from Wonkwang University with Physical Education and Sports Science degree.

South Korea participated in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018. It was the 18th appearance of the country at the Asian Games, except the first edition in Delhi. As one of the best competitors at the Games, South Korea's best achievement was in the 2002 Busan, with the acquisition of 96 gold, 80 silver and 84 bronze medals. At the latest edition in 2014 Incheon, the country had collected 79 gold, 71 silver, and 84 bronze medals.

Shingo Hayashi is a Japanese dressage rider. Shingo competed at the 2010 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China and at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea where he won team silver. He also competed at the 2018 FEI World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina, United States of America. He was the first team reserve for the Japanese dressage team during the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Kim Kyun-sub is a South Korean equestrian athlete. He is a double team gold medallist at the 2010 Asian Games and at the 2014 Asian Games, competing in dressage for South Korea. During the 2018 Asian Games he won a silver team medal with the South Korean dressage team. Kim started as eventing rider and competed at the 2002 Asian Games, later he switched to dressage and also competed internationally in show-jumping.
