Hyo-Jung Kim (born November 6, 1988) is an American short track speed skater. She competed in four events at the 2006 Winter Olympics. [1] Her father Soo-Hong, a construction executive, lived for twelve years in Orange County, California, and naturalized as a U.S. citizen. He returned to South Korea in 1988 due to his job, shortly before Hyo-Jung was born. She grew up in both Seoul and southern California, and did her early training in skating in South Korea before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she continued her training at the United States Olympic Training Center. Lim Hyo-jun is a South Korean short track speed skater. He is the current champion of the Men's 1500 m event in short track speed skating at the Winter Olympics, and also currently holds the Olympic record for the event. Originally starting as a swimmer, Lim took up skating at a young age. Despite multiple injuries early on in his career, he notably won gold at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics upon his international debut in the Boys' 1000 m event. He would later win the 1000 m and 1500 m events in the Budapest leg of the 2017–18 ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup and earn selection for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Upon his Olympic debut, Lim won the gold medal, setting a new Olympic record of 2:10.485 in the process, beating Lee Jung-su's previous record set at the 2010 games.

Caroline Hallisey-Kepka is an American speed skater and three-time Olympian. She competed for the United States at the 1998, 2002, and 2006 Winter Olympics in short track speed skating.
