War Paint is the fourth studio album by American country music artist Lorrie Morgan. The album was released via BNA Records in 1994. It contains the singles "My Night to Howl," "If You Came Back from Heaven," and "Heart Over Mind." Also included are covers of George Jones' "A Good Year for the Roses", recorded here as a duet with Sammy Kershaw, and Jeannie Seely's "Don't Touch Me." The cassette version of the album omits the track "Exit 99."

If You See Her is the fifth studio album by American country music duo Brooks & Dunn, released in 1998 on Arista Nashville. It became Chesney's first album to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and produced five singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart between 2001 and 2003 with "Young", "The Good Stuff", "A Lot of Things Different", "Big Star", and the title track. A live performance music video was made for "Live Those Songs", which charted at number 60 without being released as a single; the song also became a concert tour opener for Chesney for several years. "On the Coast of Somewhere Beautiful" was also made into a music video, without being released as a single. "The Good Stuff" was the biggest hit of Chesney's career at the time, not only spending seven weeks at the top of the country charts, but also becoming Billboard's Number One country single of 2002 according to Billboard Year-End. In 2004, the album was certified quadruple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for sales of over four million copies in the United States.

Thunder & Roses is the seventh studio album by American country music artist Pam Tillis. It was released on March 6, 2001 by Arista Nashville. It is also the last album she recorded for the Arista label. Its lead-off single, "Please", was a #22 hit on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts in 2002. "It Isn't Just Raining" was later recorded in 2003 by its co-writer, Jennifer Hanson, on her self-titled debut album, and the title track was previously recorded by Mindy McCready on her 1999 album I'm Not So Tough. "Please" would go on to be Pam's last appearance on the Country Singles Chart after it peaked in spring of 2001.

Following this song was "Maybe He'll Notice Her Now", which featured backing vocals from Richie McDonald, the lead singer of the band Lonestar. This song peaked at No. 18. "A Girl's Gotta Do " was the final single, reaching No. 4 in 1997.

The album includes the single "I'm Still Here," as well as re-recordings of her 1996 singles "Guys Do It All the Time" and "Ten Thousand Angels." Mindy performed on Fox & Friends to promote the album in April 2010. This is McCready's final release before her tragic death in 2013.
