IGNEA is a Ukrainian melodic metal band formed in Kyiv in 2013. The band mixes different heavy metal subgenres, the main of which are melodic death metal, symphonic metal, progressive metal, and oriental metal.
In 2013, IGNEA started under the name Parallax and released debut EP titled Sputnik. In 2014, the band released a single Petrichor featuring guitar solo and bouzoukitara part by Yossi Sassi (ex- Orphaned Land). [1]
In 2015, the band changed its name to IGNEA and released a single Alga, [2] with a full symphonic orchestra. The video gathered millions of views on the band’s YouTube channel.
In 2017, IGNEA released The Sign of Faith, the first full-length album, and an animated video for the song Şeytanu Akbar dedicated against terrorism. Later, the band also published an official video for this song recorded at The Best Ukrainian Metal Act, the yearly national awards, where IGNEA was named one of the top three bands in the country.
In 2018, the band released an animated video for How I Hate the Night [3] with references to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy original movie. After that, the band toured with the Danish death metal band Illdisposed in Europe.
In September 2018, IGNEA toured within the Female Metal Voices Tour 2018 headlined by Butcher Babies and Kobra and the Lotus. [4] and released a new single Queen Dies. [5]
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, IGNEA released its second full-length album The Realms of Fire and Death [6] was released in 2020. It was crowdfunded by the band's patrons at Patreon. The songs Disenchantment and Jinnslammer from this album were previously released as singles with official videos.
The Realms of Fire and Death got an award as the metal album of the year and IGNEA got the award as the best Ukrainian metal band of 2020 according to The Best Ukrainian Metal Act.
In 2021, together with symphonic death metal band ERSEDU, IGNEA self-released a concept split EP BESTIA [7] about the human nature of Slavic mythological creatures and the world’s duality.
In June 2021, IGNEA signed a worldwide deal with Napalm Records. [8]
In February 2022, IGNEA announced the third full-length concept album Dreams of Lands Unseen about Sofia Yablonska to be released on April 28, 2023. [9]

Progressive metal is a broad fusion music genre melding heavy metal and progressive rock, combining the loud "aggression" and amplified guitar-driven sound of the former with the more experimental, cerebral or quasi-classical compositions of the latter.
Napalm Death are an English grindcore band formed in Meriden, West Midlands in 1981. None of the band's original members have been in the group since 1986, but since Utopia Banished (1992), the lineup of bassist Shane Embury, guitarist Mitch Harris, drummer Danny Herrera and lead vocalist Mark "Barney" Greenway has remained consistent through most of the band's career. From 1989 to 2004, Napalm Death were a five-piece band after they added Jesse Pintado and Mitch Harris as replacements for guitarist Bill Steer. Napalm Records is an Austrian independent record label focused on heavy metal, hard rock and folk/folk rock/folk metal. Originally, Napalm focused on black metal bands, such as Abigor and Summoning, and folk metal bands, such as Falkenbach and Vintersorg. The label later expanded its roster by adding gothic metal, symphonic metal, power metal, doom metal, metalcore and nu metal bands, as well as stoner rock acts Monster Magnet, Karma to Burn, and Brant Bjork, and even folk bands like Ye Banished Privateers. Serenity is an Austrian symphonic power metal band, originally formed back in 2001. They became a more stable group with a consistent line-up in 2004, when it also began using more progressive and power influences than earlier. They have defined their genre with more melodic and symphonic metal elements.
Alestorm are a Scottish heavy metal band formed in Perth, Scotland in 2007. Their music is characterised by a pirate theme, and as a result, they have been dubbed a "pirate metal" band by many critics and their fanbase. The group currently consists of lead vocalist/keytarist Christopher Bowes, bassist Gareth Murdock, drummer Peter Alcorn, keyboardist/harsh vocalist Elliot Vernon and guitarist Máté "Bobo" Bodor.

Yossi Sassi is an Israeli guitarist and producer who merges traditional and contemporary music. He is the inventor of the "bouzoukitara" musical instrument. He is known for pioneering oriental rock, as well as being the main composer, arranger, and co-founder of Orphaned Land, an Israeli progressive metal band formed in 1991. He also formed the Yossi Sassi Band/The Oriental Rock Orchestra. His debut solo album, Melting Clocks, got him voted "Top Newcomer of 2012" by Rock Hard magazine readers. His 2016 album Roots and Roads was submitted for Grammy Award consideration.
Gloryhammer is a British power metal band founded by keyboardist Christopher Bowes, lead vocalist of the band Alestorm. Each member of the band represents a character in the story concept. Band members appears on stage in armour and costumes to represent their respective characters.

Bloody Hammers is an American hard rock band, founded in 2010 by Anders Manga in Transylvania County, North Carolina, United States. Manga is the primary producer, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist. Bloody Hammers' music straddles a range of genres including heavy metal, gothic rock, doom metal, and psychedelic rock. The touring band features a revolving lineup with Manga and keyboardist Devallia being the only permanent live members. Devallia also contributes keyboard parts to recordings and is sometimes credited as a co-producer.

Jinjer ( "ginger") is a Ukrainian metalcore band from Donetsk, formed in 2008. None of the founding members remain with the band. The current lineup considers 2009 as its official year of formation, with the arrival of singer Tatiana Shmayluk and guitarist Roman Ibramkhalilov. The band has since added bassist Eugene Abdukhanov and drummer Vladislav Ulasevich. Their most recent album, Wallflowers, was released in August 2021.
Æther Realm is an American heavy metal band from Greenville, North Carolina. Their music is a blend of melodic death metal and folk metal, with lyrical themes of fantasy and mythology. The band's influences include Wintersun and Children of Bodom. They have been active since 2010, and have released three studio albums.
Ad Infinitum is a Swiss/German symphonic metal band. Originally a solo project of Swiss singer Melissa Bonny, it turned into a full band with arrival of drummer Niklas Müller, bassist Jonas Asplind and guitarist Adrian Theßenvitz. The band signed a deal with Napalm Records in July 2019 and released a debut album, Chapter I: Monarchy, in April 2020. In December 2020, Asplind announced he was leaving the band due to health issues, to be replaced by Korbinian Benedict as the new bassist.
