The IPSC Pan-American Handgun Championship is an IPSC level 4 championship hosted every third year in North- or South-America.

The 1993 Copa América was the 36th Copa América, CONMEBOL's football tournament for national teams. It was held in Ecuador between June 15 and July 4. All 10 CONMEBOL members took part, but for the first time two nations from outside CONMEBOL were invited to take part in the tournament, to round out the format. Mexico and the United States, both of CONCACAF, were the invited teams for this tournament. Argentina defeated Mexico in the final 2–1 to win their record 14th continental championship.

Éric Grauffel is a French sport shooter and firearms instructor with seven overall IPSC Handgun World Champion titles and one Junior World Champion title. He is known for having an unprecedented winning streak, and has won 191 IPSC President Medals. He is the son of the French national team trainer Gérard Grauffel. Additionally he has won the IPSC European Handgun Championships seven times.
The IPSC Handgun World Shoot is the highest level handgun match within the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) which consists of several days and at least 30 separate courses of fire. The Handgun World Shoots are held triennially on a rotational cycle with the other two main IPSC disciplines Rifle and Shotgun.
The IPSC US Handgun Championship are yearly IPSC level 3 matches held by the United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) run under IPSC-rules. Sometimes, all of the pistol IPSC nationals are held at the same time, other years, they have been broken up between different ranges. In order to attend the nationals a competitor usually has to win a "slot" by placing well enough at various regional and Area Championship matches held throughout the year.
The IPSC Nordic Handgun Championship is an IPSC level 3 championship hosted in every year either in Norway, Sweden, Finland or Denmark. Until 2017 the championships were held annually in all divisions. But from 2018 onward championships in Open and Production division will be held even years and championships in Classic, Revolver and Standard divisions uneven years.
The IPSC European Rifle Championship is an IPSC level 4 championship hosted every third year in Europe.

The IPSC European Shotgun Championship is an IPSC level 4 championship hosted every third year in Europe.
The IPSC Russian Handgun Championship is an IPSC level 3 championship held once a year by the Russian Federation of Practical Shooting.

The 2005 IPSC Handgun World Shoot XIV held in Guayaquil, Ecuador was the 14th IPSC Handgun World Shoot. Once again, Eric Grauffel took the Open title. He was now an 18-year-old student and had already won many European titles, and after the 2005 World Championship, also three World Shoots.
The 2014 IPSC Handgun World Shoot XVII held at the Universal Shooting Academy in Frostproof, Florida, United States, was the 17th IPSC Handgun World Shoot.
The IPSC Australian Handgun Championship is an IPSC level 3 championship held once a year by IPSC Australia.
