Ian Barker (born 10 August 1966 in Cardiff) is a British sailor. He won a silver medal in the High Performance Dinghy class at the 2000 Summer Olympics with Simon Hiscocks. He lives in Christchurch, England. He coached the Irish 49er team for Rio 2016 Olympics. [1]
Amanda Jane "Mandy" Barker is a former field hockey striker from New Zealand, who finished sixth with her national team at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. The forward, educated at St Hilda's College in Dunedin, played her first international against Japan for Otago in 1989, then played for The Black Sticks the next year against Great Britain. She was unable to play in 1995 because of back problems that required major back surgery and removal of a disc from her spine. She was given only a 50-50 chance of playing again. It was back injuries six years later that "was a big part in reaching the decision" to retire in November 2001.

Valeri Vladimirovich Popenchenko was a Soviet Olympic boxer who competed in the middleweight division (−75 kg). He was named the Outstanding Boxer of the 1964 Olympics and given the Val Barker Trophy, becoming the only Soviet boxer to receive the honour. Popenchenko was known for his exceptional skills and agility in the ring, as well as his strong left hook.
Richard McTaggart, MBE is a Scottish retired amateur boxer. He competed in the 1956 and 1960 Olympics in the lightweight division and won a gold and a bronze medal, respectively. In 1956 he received the Val Barker Trophy for best boxing style at the Olympics. At the 1964 Olympics McTaggart moved to the light-welterweight category, but lost in the third bout to the eventual winner Jerzy Kulej. McTaggart won the British ABA title in 1956, 1958, 1960, 1963 and 1965, and retired with a record of 610 wins out of 634 bouts.

He won three bronzes at the 2010 South American Games. He died from lung infection on 21 December 2021, at the age of 32 in Rio de Janeiro.
