Trevor Martin Chappell is a former Australian cricketer,a member of the South Australian Chappell family which excelled at cricket. He played 3 tests and 20 One Day Internationals for Australia. He won the Sheffield Shield with New South Wales twice,and scored a century for Australia against India in the 1983 World Cup. His career was overshadowed,however,by an incident in 1981 in which he bowled an underarm delivery to New Zealand cricketer Brian McKechnie to prevent the batsman from hitting a six.
Brett Lee is an Australian former international cricketer,who played all three formats of the game. During his international career,Lee was recognised as one of the fastest bowlers in the world. With his time representing Australia,Lee won multiple ICC titles with the team:the 2003 Cricket World Cup,the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy,and the 2009 ICC Champions Trophy. Lee was also the first Australian bowler to take a hat-trick at a Cricket World Cup which he did in the 2003 Cricket World Cup Super Match game against Kenya.
Craig John McDermott is a former Australian cricketer. Between 1984 and 1996 he played 71 Tests for Australia,taking 291 wickets. Following the end of his playing career,he was the bowling coach for the Australian team for two spells between 2011 and 2016. McDermott was a part of the Australian team that won their first world title during the 1987 Cricket World Cup.
Shaun Tait is a former Australian professional cricketer who was appointed as the bowling coach of the Pakistan national cricket team in February 2022. He played as a right arm fast bowler and represented Australia in all three forms of cricket,but had most success in One Day Internationals,in which he was a member of Australia's undefeated team at the 2007 Cricket World Cup,and Twenty20 cricket. Tait won four different awards throughout his career including the Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year in 2004. He is considered one of the fastest bowlers of all time.
Frederick Robert Spofforth,also known as "The Demon Bowler",was an Australian cricket team pace bowler of the nineteenth century. He was the first bowler to take 50 Test wickets,and the first to take a Test hat-trick,in 1879. He played in Test matches for Australia between 1877 and 1887,and then settled in England where he played for Derbyshire. In 2009,he was inducted into the ICC Hall of Fame.
Jeffrey Robert Thomson is a former Australian cricketer. Known as "Thommo",he is one of the fastest bowlers in the history of cricket;he bowled a delivery with a speed of 160.6 km/h against the West Indies in Perth in 1975,which was the fastest recorded delivery at the time,and the fourth-fastest recorded delivery of all time. He was a part of the Australian squad which finished as runners-up at the 1975 Cricket World Cup.
Sir Wesley Winfield Hall is a Barbadian former cricketer and politician. A tall,strong and powerfully built man,Hall was a genuine fast bowler and despite his very long run up,he was renowned for his ability to bowl long spells. Hall played 48 Test matches for the West Indies from 1958 to 1969. Hall's opening bowling partnership with fellow Barbadian Charlie Griffith was a feature of the strong West Indies teams throughout the 1960s. Hall was one of the most popular cricketers of his day and was especially popular in Australia,where he played two seasons in the Sheffield Shield with Queensland.
Harold Edward Gilbert,known as Eddie Gilbert,was an Australian Aboriginal cricketer who represented Queensland in the Sheffield Shield. He was described as an exceptionally fast bowler. He competed for Queensland in the Sheffield Shield between 1930 and 1936. Described by Don Bradman as the fastest bowler he ever faced,Bradman said he was “faster than anything seen from Harold Larwood or anyone else.”
Bruce Yardley was an Australian cricketer who played in 33 Test matches and seven One Day Internationals between 1978 and 1983,taking 126 Test wickets.
Douglas Thomas Ring was an Australian cricketer who played for Victoria and for Australia in 13 Test matches between 1948 and 1953. In 129 first-class cricket matches,he took 426 wickets bowling leg spin,and he had a top score of 145 runs,which was the only century of his career.
Phillip Henry Carlson was an Australian cricketer who played in two Test matches and four One Day Internationals (ODIs) in 1979. Jack Marsh was an Australian first-class cricketer of Australian Aboriginal descent who represented New South Wales in six matches from 1900–01 to 1902–03. A right-arm fast bowler of extreme pace,Marsh had high athletic qualities and was regarded as one of the outstanding talents of his era. His career was curtailed by continual controversy surrounding the legality of his bowling action;he was no-balled multiple times for throwing. As a result of the debate over the legitimacy of his action,Marsh never established himself at first-class level and was overlooked for national selection. In contemporary discourse,Marsh's lack of opportunities has often been attributed to racial discrimination.
Ben Laughlin is a former Australian cricketer. A right-arm fast-medium bowler,he was primarily a Twenty20 specialist,featuring for a number of teams in the top global leagues. He also represented Australia in white-ball cricket 8 times. Laughlin last featured in professional cricket for the Brisbane Heat of the BBL in 2021.
Nathan Michael Lyon is an Australian international cricketer. He made his Test debut in 2011 and plays domestic cricket for New South Wales. Lyon is an off-spin bowler and a lower-order right-handed batsman. Considered the most successful off-spin bowler of all time for Australia,Lyon holds the record for the most Test wickets taken by an Australian off-spin bowler,passing Hugh Trumble's 141 wickets in 2015. In January 2021,Lyon played in his 100th Test match during Australia's series against India. As of December 2023,Lyon is Australia's third highest test wicket taker of all time and ranks eighth among all international players in test cricket with over 500 wickets to his name. Lyon was a member of the Australian team that won the 2023 ICC World Test Championship final.

Sammy-Jo Johnson is an Australian cricketer who plays as a right-arm medium-fast bowler and right-handed batter for New South Wales Breakers in the Women's National Cricket League and Sydney Thunder in the Women's Big Bash League. In the former competition,she played for Queensland Fire from 2011 to 2020 before joining the Breakers for 2020–21. In the latter competition,she played for Brisbane Heat from the first season of the competition in 2015–16,until she signed for the Thunder for 2020–21.
