Ian Loggie (born 1 November 1962) is a Scottish businessman and racing driver. After starting racing in 2013, he won the Britcar championship in the same year. He then won the Am Cup category of the Blancpain Endurance Series in 2015. In 2022, he won the Asian Le Mans Series GT Am championship and the British GT Championship in the GT3 category. He also won the bronze medal at the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games GT Cup.

Racing career

Loggie began his racing career in 2013 and that year, he won Britcar championship alongside Chris Jones. He then began racing in the Blancpain Endurance Series (now the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup) in 2014, driving a Audi R8 LMS ultra for Team Parker Racing. [1] At the 2015 24 Hours of Spa, the Am Cup was won by the No. 24 Audi R8 LMS ultra of Team Parker, driven by Loggie, Callum MacLeod, Benny Simonsen and Julian Westwood. [2] Loggie and Westwood won the 2015 series in the Am Cup category. [3]

Loggie began racing at the British GT Championship in 2015, where he was signed to Team Parker Racing up to the 2018 season. [4] In 2019, he signed with Ram Racing. [5] With this team, he won the 2022 championship, winning two races in the process during that season. [6] [7] Also in October of that year, he joined Sam Neary behind the wheel of Team United Kingdom's GT Relay entry into the 2022 FIA Motorsport Games. [8] [9] The duo finished second and fourth in the two qualifying races, before winning the bronze medal in the main race. [10]

For the 2023 season, Loggie signed with 2 Seas Motorsport. [11] [12] He also made an appearance in the Formula 4 South East Asia Championship. [13]

W Racing Team is a Belgian auto racing team founded in 2009 by engineer and former head of Volkswagen Motorsport René Verbist, racing driver Vincent Vosse, and entrepreneur Yves Weerts. Between 2010 and 2022 the team campaigned Audi R8 LMSs in several international sports car series. In 2010 the team won the Belcar Drivers' and Teams' Championships, while in 2011 they won the Spa 24 Hours. A former member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, he was the 2013 European Formula Three Champion, a reserve and test driver for the Sauber Formula One team in 2015, and spent three seasons competing in the GP2 Series. He switched to GT racing in 2017 and became a works Mercedes-AMG driver ahead of the 2018 campaign, where he stayed until leaving in 2023 and subsequently signing with BMW. In 2022, Marciello earned his first major endurance race victory by winning the Spa 24 Hours.

The 2014 GT Sprint Series was the second season following on from the demise of the SRO Group's FIA GT1 World Championship, the first with the designation of Blancpain Sprint Series.
