The 2022 British GT Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2022 Intelligent Money British GT Championship) was the 30th British GT Championship, a sports car championship promoted by the SRO Motorsports Group. The season began on 16 April at Oulton Park and ended on 16 October at Donington Park.

The Flying Lizard Motorsports group is a motorsport team from Sonoma, California, formed by Seth Neiman in early 2003. The team competed in the full American Le Mans Series season, as well as the 24 Hours of Daytona, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The team went on to win six driver and team championships in the American Le Mans Series, becoming a Porsche factory team and Porsche Motorsport North America's development partner from 2007 to 2012. The team helped develop the first- and second-generation 997 GT3 RSR as well as bring it to victory several times in its six-year run in the series. The team solely raced Porsche cars from 2004 to 2019, becoming a staple in the Porsche racing community.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is a racing simulation video game developed by Italian video game developer Kunos Simulazioni. It was the first season of the unification of GT3 sprint series across the globe under the World Challenge name.

The 2022 Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS is the fourth season of SRO Motorsports Group and Team Asia One GT Management's GT World Challenge Asia, an auto racing series for grand tourer cars in Asia. The races are contested with GT3-spec and GT4-spec cars. The season was begun on 20 May at Sepang in Malaysia and was scheduled to end on 23 October at the new Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia, however the round was cancelled due to homologation issues, therefore the championship finished at the Okayama International Circuit in Japan. It is the second season of the unification of GT3 sprint series across the globe under the World Challenge name and the first since Blancpain ended its title sponsorship of the series.
The 2022 Fanatec GT World Challenge America Powered by AWS was the sixteenth season of the United States Auto Club's GT World Challenge America, and the fifth under ownership of SRO Motorsports Group.The season began at Sonoma Raceway on April 15, and ended at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on October 8.
