The 2022 Fanatec GT World Challenge Australia Powered by AWS is an Australian motor sport competition for GT cars. The series incorporates the "Motorsport Australia GT Championship", the "Motorsport Australia Endurance Championship", the "GT3 Trophy Series" and the "GT4 Cup". The Motorsport Australia GT Championship is the 26th running of an Australian GT Championship. This is the second season of the championship being jointly managed by Australian Racing Group (ARG) and SRO Motorsports Group.
The provisional six-race calendar was released on 1 March 2022 with all rounds taking place in Australia. [1] The season was to begin on 18 March at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit and will end on 4 December at the Adelaide Street Circuit in Adelaide. [2] In August, it was announced that Adelaide would join the calendar as final round, replacing the cancelled May round at Sydney Motorsport Park. [3]

Raffaele "Lello" Marciello is a Swiss-born Italian professional racing driver. A former member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, he was the 2013 European Formula Three Champion, a reserve and test driver for the Sauber Formula One team in 2015, and spent three seasons competing in the GP2 Series. He switched to GT racing in 2017 and became a works Mercedes-AMG driver ahead of the 2018 campaign, where he stayed until leaving in 2023 and subsequently signing with BMW. In 2022, Marciello earned his first major endurance race victory by winning the Spa 24 Hours.
Jules Jean-Louis Gounon is an Andorran-based French professional racing driver. He is best known for his victories in the 24 Hours of Spa in 2017 and 2022, and the Bathurst 12 Hour in 2020, 2022 and 2023.
The 2020 Intercontinental GT Challenge was the fifth season of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. The season again features five rounds, starting with the Liqui Moly Bathurst 12 Hour on 2 February and concluding with the Kyalami 9 Hours on 12 December. The 2022 Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia Powered by AWS is the fourth season of SRO Motorsports Group and Team Asia One GT Management's GT World Challenge Asia, an auto racing series for grand tourer cars in Asia. The races are contested with GT3-spec and GT4-spec cars. The season was begun on 20 May at Sepang in Malaysia and was scheduled to end on 23 October at the new Mandalika Circuit in Indonesia, however the round was cancelled due to homologation issues, therefore the championship finished at the Okayama International Circuit in Japan. It is the second season of the unification of GT3 sprint series across the globe under the World Challenge name and the first since Blancpain ended its title sponsorship of the series.
The 2021 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup was the eleventh season of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. It saw the series return to a five-event schedule following a shortened 2020 programme.
The 2021 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup was the ninth season of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup following on from the demise of the SRO Motorsports Group's FIA GT1 World Championship and the second season after title sponsor Blancpain withdrew sponsorship. The season began on 7 May at Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours in France and ended on 26 September at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia.
