The 2021 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS was the eighth season of GT World Challenge Europe. The season began at Monza on 18 April and ended at Barcelona on 10 October.
The season consisted of 10 events: 5 Sprint Cup events, and 5 Endurance Cup events. The season also had 2 Official Test Days.

Calendar

The provisional calendar was released on 4 September 2020 with two unconfirmed rounds.^[1]
The calendar was updated on 23 October 2020, with the final calendar being released on 11 December 2020.^[2]^[3]
The Brands Hatch round was rescheduled from May to August.^[4]

Championship standings

Scoring system

Championship points are awarded for the first ten positions in each race. The pole-sitter also receives one point and entries are required to complete 75% of the winning car's race distance in order to be classified and earn points. Individual drivers are required to participate for a minimum of 25 minutes in order to earn championship points in any race.

The season features ten rounds, five Endurance Cup rounds and five World Challenge Europe rounds. The overall championship was won by Chinese Lamborghini factory team FFF Racing and their drivers, Andrea Caldarelli and Marco Mapelli.

The 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS was the seventh season of the GT World Challenge Europe and the first after title sponsor Blancpain withdrew sponsorship. The season began on 25 July at Imola and ended on 15 November at Circuit Paul Ricard.

The 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup was the eighth season of the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup following on from the demise of the SRO Motorsports Group's FIA GT1 World Championship, the first after title sponsor Blancpain withdrew sponsorship. The season began on 9 August at Misano World Circuit and finished on 11 October at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. This season the GT Sports Club Europe was brought into the GT World Challenge Europe, meaning the Bronze-focused GT3 and GT2 series shared grids with the headlining series.

The 2021 Intercontinental GT Challenge was the sixth season of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. Normally a five round season, the races in the Pacific Rim were eliminated because of pandemic-related restrictions, reducing the season to three rounds, one in Europe, one in North America, and one in Africa. Nicky Catsburg and Augusto Farfus were the defending drivers' champions and Porsche was the defending Manufacturers' champion.

Charles Weerts is a Belgian racing driver who currently competes in the GT World Challenge Europe. On December 8 2022 Weerts was announced as a factory driver for BMW M Motorsport where he'll continue to drive for Team WRT.

Thomas Neubauer is a French professional racing driver. He is the reigning champion of the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup in the Silver Cup category, having also won the Dubai 24 Hour race overall, the Nürburgring 24 Hours in class and the Ferrari Challenge Finali Mondiali all in the same year.

Alex Arkin Aka is a German racing driver currently competing in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. He is the son of Attempto Racing team boss Arkin Aka.

The 2023 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS was the tenth season of GT World Challenge Europe. The season began at Monza on 23 April and ended at Zandvoort on 15 October. The season consisted of 10 events: 5 Sprint Cup events, and 5 Endurance Cup events.

The 2024 Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS is the eleventh season of GT World Challenge Europe. The season begins at Paul Ricard on 5 April, and will end at Jeddah Corniche on 30 November. The season consists of 10 events: 5 Sprint Cup events, and 5 Endurance Cup events.
