Ibrahim Musa Gusau (born 1 March 1964) [1] is a Nigerian sports administrator, who has served as president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) since 2022. He is a former chairman of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN), [2] a former Chairman of Zamfara Football Association, a committee member of the Confederation of African Football (CAF), and a member of CAF youth organising committee.

The 78th elective congress of the Nigeria Football Federation elected him as the 40th President of the Federation and successor to Amaju Pinnick. [3] [4] [5] [6]

Career

Gusau served as chairman of Zamfara State Football Association and has served as member of CAF of Organising Committee for the African Nations Championship. [7] [8]

On 30 September 2022, Gusau was elected president of the Nigerian Football Federation during the 78th NFF Annual General Assembly held in Benin City, Edo State. [6] [9] [10]

Amaju Melvin Pinnick is a Nigerian football administrator, who was president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) from 2014 to 2022. He was elected NFF president in September 2014 and reelected on 20 September 2018. He was also First Vice President of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) from September 2018 to July 2019, and a member of the Organising Committee for FIFA competitions.

The 2019 Zamfara State gubernatorial election occurred on 9 March 2019. APC's Mukhtar Shehu Idris polled 67.41% of the total popular votes, defeating PDP's Bello Matawalle who got 23.89% of the total votes and trailed behind by a margin of 345,089 votes, and several minor party candidates. APC swept the entire 14 LGAs of the state, winning in all. It was, however, Matawalle, who was later declared winner by the INEC and sworn in as governor after the verdict of the Supreme Court, which declared Idris' votes as 'wasted'.

The 2023 Zamfara State gubernatorial election will take place on 18 March 2023, to elect the Governor of Zamfara State, concurrent with elections to the Zamfara State House of Assembly as well as twenty-seven other gubernatorial elections and elections to all other state houses of assembly. The election—which was postponed from its original 11 March date—was held three weeks after the presidential election and National Assembly elections. Incumbent APC Governor Bello Matawalle has been renominated by his party and was defeated by Dauda Lawal of PDP on 18th of March 2023.

The 2019 Zamfara State House of Assembly election was held on March 9, 2019, to elect members of the Zamfara State House of Assembly in Nigeria. All the 24 seats were up for election in the Zamfara State House of Assembly.

Nse Essien is a Nigerian politician and sports administrator. He serves as a member of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly. He is also the Deputy Chief Whip at the parliament. He is the owner of FC One Rocket and Carabana Football Academy.
