Ibrahima Sory Bangoura (born 8 December 1982 in Conakry) [2] [3] [4] [5] is a Guinean footballer who plays in Guinea for Hafia FC.
Bangoura was a member of the Guinea squad for the 2006 African Nations Cup, where the team was eliminated in the quarter-finals. His cousin Ismaël Bangoura is also a footballer and a member of the team. His favourite position is second striker although he has played as winger or as an attacking midfielder. He is well known for his pace.
On 25 January 2009 Bangoura signed a five-year-contract with Denizlispor. The transfer fee was estimated to be around €300,000. Ibrahima quickly became a fan favourite, and established himself as a talented goal scorer. Bangoura's other notable feature is his goal celebration, which he performs with teammate and Senegalese international defender Pape Diakhate, it resembles an African dance.[ citation needed ]
In 2010, he moved to Konyaspor.[ citation needed ]
In February 2011 Bangoura signed a two-year contract with Khazar Lankaran. [6] After only three months Bangoura was released by Khazar Lankaran. [7]
After leaving Khazar, Bangoura joined Djoliba AC Malian Première Division. [8] In September 2013 Bangoura joined CP Cacereño, [9] but left the club in December 2013 having not played for the club. [10]

The Khazar Lankaran 2011–12 season was Khazar Lankaran's seventh Azerbaijan Premier League season. They finished second in the 2011–12 Azerbaijan Premier League, qualifying for the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League again. In the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League they entered, and were knocked out, at the Second Qualifying Round by Maccabi Tel Aviv of Israel. They also took part in the 2011–12 Azerbaijan Cup getting knocked out at the Quarterfinal stage by Inter Baku.
The Khazar Lankaran 2010–11 season is Khazar Lankaran's sixth Azerbaijan Premier League season. It was Khazar's first season under Mircea Rednic. Khazar finished the season in 2nd place and also competed in and won the Azerbaijan Cup. Due to their 3rd-placed finish the previous season, Khazar entered the Europa League at the first qualifying round stage where they were knocked out by FC Olimpia of Moldova.
