Ibule-Soro is a town in Ifedore local government area of Ondo State, SouthWestern Nigeria. [1] It is renowned for selling the best of palm wine in Ondo State which has led both the masses and top government office holders accustomed to the area. [2]

"Jooro"

"Jooro" the river goddess is a deity in Ibule-Soro which is believed to give children to the barren, promote indigenes in their works of life, heal the sick and avoid calamities. The deity which is worshipped annually by its followers by offering pigeons and kolanuts also play a key role in the installation and burial of a monarch in the town. [3]

Taboo

Ibule-Soro forbids the giving birth or coming in of an albino into the town to avoid the wrath of the river goddess. The wearing of beads near the river Jooro is also forbidden with the exception of only the chief priest. [4]

The Ekiti people are one of the largest historical subgroups of the larger Yoruba people of West Africa, located in Nigeria. They are classified as a Central Yoruba group, alongside the Ijesha, Igbomina, Yagba and Ifes. Ekiti State is populated exclusively by Ekiti people; however, it is but a segment of the historic territorial domain of Ekiti-speaking groups, which historically included towns in Ondo State such as Akure, Ilara-Mokin, Ijare, and Igbara-oke. Isinkan is a Nigerian traditional state. It is based in a town of the same name in Akure South Local Government Area of Ondo State. It is contiguous to the Akure Kingdom, and shares such a close proximity to that kingdom that visitors may not know that both are traditionally distinct entities.
