Ida-Theres Karlsson-Nerell (born 18 April 1983) is a retired Swedish freestyle wrestler.
She was born in Boden. At the World Championships she won a bronze medal in 2002 (55 kg), finished nineteenth in 2003 (55 kg), won a bronze medal in 2006 (55 kg) and a silver medal in 2007 (55 kg). She finished fourth at the 2004 Olympic Games, and fifth at the 2008 Olympic Games. [1]
At the European Championships she won silver medals in 2001 (56 kg) and 2002 (55 kg), finished sixth in 2003 (55 kg) and won gold medals in 2004 (55 kg), 2005 (59 kg) and 2007 (59 kg). [1]
After the Summer Olympics in 2008 she took a time out from wrestling to, among other things, focus on her family. In 2011, she made a comeback and won a gold medal at the 2011 European Wrestling Championships.
On 27 November 2014, she announced her retirement from wrestling. [2]
Tonya Lynn Verbeek is a Canadian freestyle wrestler. Verbeek was the first woman to win a wrestling medal for Canada when she took silver in 2004, she added to that with a bronze at the 2008 Summer Olympics and a second silver at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She has also won two bronze and a silver at the world championships and has a bronze and silver from the Pan American Games and Commonwealth Games respectively.

Geeta Phogat is a freestyle wrestler who won India's first ever gold medal in wrestling at the Commonwealth Games in 2010. She is also the first Indian female wrestler to have qualified for the Olympic Summer Games.

Olga Vladimirovna Smirnova is an amateur Russian-born Kazakhstani freestyle wrestler, who played for the women's lightweight category. She is a two-time Olympian, a three-time medalist at the European Senior Championships, and a gold medalist for the 50 kg class at the 1996 World Wrestling Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria. Smirnova also added a silver medal from the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, and bronze from the 2007 World Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, representing her adopted nation Kazakhstan.
Nataliya Yuryevna Golts is an amateur Russian freestyle wrestler, who played for the women's lightweight category. Since 2002, Golts had won a total of five medals for the 51, 55 and 59 kg classes at the World Wrestling Championships. She is also a five-time European wrestling champion, a silver medalist at the 2010 European Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, and a member of Russian Army Sports Club in Moscow, under her personal coach Omar Murtasaliev.
Angélique Berthenet-Hidalgo is a French retired amateur freestyle wrestler, who competed in the women's flyweight category. Considering one of the world's top female freestyle wrestlers in her decade, Berthenet has claimed a silver medal in the 47-kg division at the 1996 World Wrestling Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, produced a staggering tally of five medals at the European Championships, and offered a chance to represent her country France at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Throughout her sporting career, Berthenet trained full-time for Dammarie Sport Wrestling Club, under her personal coach Ryszard Chelmowski.
Diletta Giampiccolo is a retired amateur Italian freestyle wrestler, who competed in the women's lightweight category. Considered one of Europe's top female freestyle wrestlers in her decade, Giampiccolo has claimed two gold medals at the Mediterranean Games, scored a silver in the 62-kg division at the 2001 World Wrestling Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, and also finished tenth at the 2004 Summer Olympics, representing her nation Italy. Throughout her sporting career, Giampiccolo trained full-time for Polisportiva Mandraccio Wrestling Club in Genoa, under her personal coach Lucio Caneva.
Mabel Fonseca Ramírez is a retired amateur Puerto Rican freestyle wrestler, who competed in the women's lightweight category. She produced a remarkable tally of four career medals; three of them were bronze from the Pan American Games and World Championships and a silver in the 59-kg division from the 2006 Central American and Caribbean Games. Fonseca also had an opportunity to represent Puerto Rico at the 2004 Summer Olympics, but her participation had been marred by a disqualification for failing the doping test. Throughout her sporting career, Fonseca trained as a member of the women's wrestling team for Esporto San Juan under her personal coach Reinaldo Jimenez.
Odunayo Folasade Adekuoroye is a Nigerian freestyle wrestler. She competed in the women's freestyle 53 kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won the gold medal and at the 2015 World Wrestling Championships where she won a bronze medal. She won the silver medal at the women's freestyle 55 kilograms 2017 World Wrestling Championships.
Iryna Alyaksandrauna Kurachkina is a Belarusian freestyle wrestler. She won the silver medal in the women's 57 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. Kurachkina is also a two-time bronze medalist at the World Wrestling Championships and a five-time medalist, including three golds, at the European Wrestling Championships. She also won the gold medal in her event at the 2019 European Games held in Minsk, Belarus.
Alyona Kolesnik is a Ukrainian-Azerbaijani freestyle wrestler. She is a four-time medalist, including gold, at the European Wrestling Championships. She is also a two-time silver medalist at the Islamic Solidarity Games. She won bronze in her event at the 2019 European Games.
Anastasia Nichita is a Moldovan freestyle wrestler. She won the gold medal in the 59 kg event at the 2022 World Wrestling Championships held in Belgrade, Serbia. She is a three-time gold medalist in the 59 kg event at the European Wrestling Championships. Nichita also represented Moldova at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.
Bilyana Zhivkova Dudova is a Bulgarian freestyle wrestler. She won the gold medal in the women's 59 kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships in Oslo, Norway.
