Iftakar H Chowdhury, known as Iftakar Chowdhury is a Bangladeshi-American film actor, director and producer. He started his career as a director with Khoj: The Search . The film was released in 2010, and introduced new technologies in Dhallywood. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Early life and education

Iftakar Chowdhury was born to Bangladeshi parents but emigrated to the United States, settling in New York City.[ citation needed ] He completed his secondary education from La Guardia High School, later graduating from the College of Staten Island.[ citation needed ]

Career

He started his career with Khoj: The Search , which did well at the box office. [5] His second movie was Dehorokkhi , starring Anisur Rahman Milon, Kazi Maruf, [6] and Bobby, which was released in 2013. [7] It was a success at the box office. [8] [9]

His third film, Agnee , released on 14 February 2014, became an all-time blockbuster. [10] [11] [12] He has finished Bizli , Bangladesh's first super hero film shot in Iceland, Thailand, India and Bangladesh. [13]

The film features Arifin Shuvoo and Mahiya Mahi in the lead roles and Misha Sawdagor as the main antagonist of the film. The film is about Tanisha, a nine-year-old girl in Dhaka whose family is killed by underworld mafia Gulzar and Haydar. Fifteen years later, a 24-year-old Tanisha has become an accomplished assassin. Even though both of the killers are now under protection of the government of Thailand and are guarded by a very powerful group, led by Dragon, Tanisha uses every means at her disposal to find where Gulzar and Haydar are hiding and avenge her family's death.

The film was released at Janata Cinema Hall in Nilphamari on 30 March 2018, then released countrywide on 13 April 2018. It is the first superhero film in Bangladesh to possess an original script and story line.

Nabab LLB is a Bangladeshi legal drama film. The film is directed and written by Anonno Mamun, and produced by Azmat Hossain under the banner of Celebrity Production. It is a courtroom drama based on rape and violence against women. The film depicts the story of raped women protesting for their rights through social protests and judicial system. The film revolves around a rape victim Shuvra who is a radio jockey by profession, with Shakib Khan, who fought a legal battle in the court as her chief lawyer, Mahiya Mahi and Shahiduzzaman Selim played in the lead roles. The film soundtrack is composed by Dolaan Maainnakk, previously she collaborate with Khan in Bhaijaan Elo Re in 2018.

Rickshaw Girl is a 2021 US-Bangladesh joint venture drama film, based on novel Rickshaw Girl by Indian-American author Mitali Perkins. The film directed by Amitabh Reza Chowdhury and co-produced by Eric J. Adams with him. Novera Rahman played as titular role in the film. Shakib Khan was supposed to play a guest role in the film. But Later, the film director Amitabh Reza Chowdhury chose Siam Ahmed instead of Shakib Khan as he could not give time.

Dui Prithibi is a 2015 Bangladeshi romantic drama film. The film screenplay and directed by FI Manik and produced and distributed by Shondhani Kotha Chitra. It was written and dialogue by Mohammad Rafiquzzaman. The film features an ensemble cast including Shakib Khan, Apu Biswas and Ahona Rahman, Syed Hasan Imam, Alamgir, Abul Hayat, Kazi Hayat, Ali Raj, Parveen Sultana Diti, Dolly Johur, Rasheda Chowdhury, Mizu Ahmed, Sadek Bachchu, Misha Sawdagor, Shiba Shanu and Ilias Kobra.
