Miguel "Ike" Ponce III (June 15, 1959) is a Filipino politician currently serving as Mayor of Pateros since 2016.
Ponce ran for mayor in 2001 but lost to Rosendo Capco, the son of then-mayor Jose "Pepe" Capco, Jr., he ran again for a second attempt in 2013 under the Liberal Party but lost again, this time to reelectionist Joey Medina. [1]
In 2016, with incumbent vice mayor Gerald German as his running mate, he finally won the election. [2] [3] [4] In 2019, he run for his second term with German again as his running mate, and they won again. [5] [6]
In 2022, while running for a third-term, he tapped John Peter Marzan as his running mate, as German was now term-limited. He also supported the presidential run of another metro Mayor Isko Moreno. [7] Ponce got his third and final term as mayor, [8] as he overwhelmingly defeated his opponent, Marilyn Chiong. [9] He won in a landslide election to Chiong with a margin of 25,757 votes. [10]

Bayani Flores Fernando was a Filipino politician, businessman, and professional mechanical engineer who served as the representative for Marikina's 1st congressional district from 2016 to 2022. The son of a former Marikina mayor, Gil Fernando, he served as the ninth mayor of Marikina from 1992 to 2001, leaving the office having transformed the city from a former municipality to a model Philippine city. He was also a vice-presidential candidate for the 2010 election.
