Imar Film Company is an independent film production company in China. Imar was established in 1997 by American producer Peter Loehr. It was the first legal independent film company in the PRC. Imar handles production, distribution and marketing of films in partnership with Xi'an Film Studio. It specializes in producing low-budget films set in modern urban settings, targeting the urban Chinese youth. [1]

Imar Film Company works with Rock Records of Taiwan, the world's largest Chinese pop music conglomerate, which allows Imar use of Rock Record's substantial music catalog, Mandarin for their soundtracks. [2]

Urban Hymns is the third studio album by English alternative rock band the Verve, released on 29 September 1997 on Hut Records. It earned nearly unanimous critical praise upon its release, and went on to become the band's best-selling release and one of the biggest selling albums of the year. As of 2019, Urban Hymns is ranked the 19th best-selling album in UK chart history and has sold over ten million copies worldwide. This is the only Verve album to feature guitarist and keyboardist Simon Tong, who initially joined the band to replace their original guitarist Nick McCabe. McCabe rejoined the band soon after, however, and Tong was considered the fifth member of the band; this makes the album the only one that the band recorded as a five-piece.

Lakeshore Entertainment Group, LLC is an American independent film production, finance, and former international sales and distribution company founded in 1994 by Tom Rosenberg and Ted Tannebaum (1933–2002). Lakeshore Entertainment is headquartered in Beverly Hills, California. The company has produced over 60 films, including the Academy Award-winning Million Dollar Baby. The Zomba Group of Companies was a music group and division owned by and operated under Sony Music Entertainment. The division was renamed to Jive Label Group in 2009 and was placed under the RCA/Jive Label Group umbrella. In 2011, the RCA/Jive Label Group was split in half. The Prodigy English electronic dance music group

The Prodigy are an English electronic dance music band from Braintree, Essex, formed in 1990 by record producer and songwriter Liam Howlett. The band's line-up has included MC and vocalist Maxim, dancer and vocalist Keith Flint, dancer and live keyboardist Leeroy Thornhill and dancer and vocalist Sharky (1990–1991). Along with the Chemical Brothers and Fatboy Slim, the Prodigy are credited as pioneers of the breakbeat-influenced genre big beat, which achieved mainstream popularity in the 1990s. Howlett's rock-inspired drum rhythms infused with electronic rave music beats/breaks were combined with Maxim's omnipresent mystique, Thornhill's shuffle dancing style and Flint's modern punk appearance.

Peter Loehr is a producer. After seven years of entertainment industry experience in Japan and Taiwan, Peter Loehr established Imar Film Co., Ltd., China's first independent film company, in 1995. Imar was China's first true, multi-faceted independent film company, producing, distributing and marketing all of their films entirely in-house. Loehr was selected as one of Variety's "10 Producers to Watch" in 1999.

Chinese heavy metal
