In Defiance of Existence is the fifth studio album by Norwegian black metal band Old Man's Child, released on 20 January 2003.
All music and lyrics written and composed by Galder, except on tracks 4 & 7 music by Galder/Jardar.
Dimmu Borgir is a Norwegian symphonic black metal band from Jessheim, formed in 1993. The name is derived from Dimmuborgir, a volcanic formation in Iceland, the name of which means "dark cities" or "dark castles/fortresses" in Icelandic, Faroese and Old Norse. The band has been through numerous lineup changes over the years; vocalist Shagrath and rhythm guitarist Silenoz are the only original members who still remain.
Old Man's Child is a Norwegian black metal band from the city of Oslo. The band is the brainchild of Galder who is the only permanent member of the band.
Death Cult Armageddon is the sixth studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, released on 9 September 2003. It has since sold over 100,000 copies in the United States; the first album under Nuclear Blast to do so; and debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at number 169. The song "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse" was released as a single with an accompanying music video. This would also be the last album to have Nick Barker on drums.
Dødheimsgard is a Norwegian extreme metal band formed in 1994. Dødheimsgard originally played black metal, but 1999's 666 International saw them change their style into experimental and avant-garde/industrial metal. In 2000, they shortened their name to DHG.

Tom Rune Andersen, also known by his stage name Galder, is a Norwegian guitarist and vocalist. He is from the small town of Jessheim, north of Oslo. He is a founding member of the melodic black metal band Old Man's Child as well as the lead guitarist of Dimmu Borgir from 2000 to 2024. In 1993, under the stage name Grusom, he, Jardar, and Tjodalv created Old Man's Child. On Old Man's Child albums, he has performed vocals, guitars, bass, and keyboards, though with a full line-up, his primary instruments are guitar and keyboards, as well as vocals. He joined Dimmu Borgir in 2000 but has kept Old Man's Child active.
Satanic Art is an EP by Norwegian black metal band Dødheimsgard. It was released in May 1998, by Moonfog Productions. Satanic Art marks the beginning of Dødheimsgard's transition from black metal to a more industrial/avant-garde sound, which was not fully realized until their next album, 666 International (1999).
In Sorte Diaboli is the seventh studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, released in 2007. It is the band's first concept album. A site on the Nuclear Blast website was created for In Sorte Diaboli, in which a new promotional photo can be seen and an audio sample can be heard. This would be the last album by Dimmu Borgir to feature ICS Vortex, Hellhammer and Mustis.
Jormundgand is Helheim's debut full-length album, released in 1995. The limited LP version has alternative artwork. The CD version has a bonus track "Galder". Female vocals are performed by Mailin.
Jon Øyvind Andersen, mostly known as Jardar, is a Norwegian black metal guitarist. He was one of the founding members of the band Old Man's Child, with Galder and Tjodalv. He has played on all the band's albums, except Ill-Natured Spiritual Invasion (1998), Vermin (2005) and Slaves of the World (2009), where Galder was the sole guitarist. Besides as a guitarist, Jardar has also contributed with backing vocals, and he was also co-writer on two songs on In Defiance of Existence.
Slaves of the World is the seventh studio album by Norwegian black metal band Old Man's Child. The album was released 18 May 2009 in Europe and 19 May 2009 in North America via Century Media Records. The album was recorded in autumn 2008 at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden, with producer Fredrik Nordström. All instruments were recorded by Galder with the exception of drums, which were played by Peter Wildoer (Darkane).
Reborn in Defiance is the ninth studio album by American band Biohazard. It was the last album to feature founding member and vocalist/bassist Evan Seinfeld, who left the band in June 2011 shortly after the album was recorded, though he returned to the band in October 2014, and the first album since 1994's State of the World Address to feature the original recording line-up, after Bobby Hambel's return to the band in 2008.

Despite Strid's small discography and limited number of recordings, it has acquired a dedicated cult following and is commonly recognized as a major pioneer within the depressive black metal scene.
Eonian is the ninth studio album by Norwegian symphonic black metal band Dimmu Borgir, which was released on 4 May 2018. And It's the fifth and final album feature lead guitarist Galder before his departure in August 2024.
