In Each and Every One is the fifth album by Sebastian Rochford's British jazz band Polar Bear.
This was the first Polar Bear record that was produced and mixed entirely by Rochford, giving him more creative control of the overall sound of the album. [1] “For me, this album is about heart, and I hope that when people listen to it, it makes them feel theirs", says Rochford about the album, "I want people to let go, I want it to be an experience.” [2]

In Each And Every One was widely celebrated and made an impact with its vast sonic departure from the group's previous release Peepers . [4] [7] "This album sees the band looking deeper into textures, sound manipulation, and the use of editing and electronics to expand their sound, moving farther away from anything resembling run-of-the-mill jazz", wrote AllMusic. [5] Drowned in Sound described it as "another reinvention of an already highly experimental trademark sound" and "a monumental 70-minute journey of puzzling jazz experimentation [that] is a whirlwind of an experience that elevates as much as it does bury you in fear". [6] Paul Tingen of Sound on Sound noted that In Each and Every One "takes the listener on an exotic journey through ambient music, drum & bass, electronic experimentation, free jazz, calypso, industrial, psychedelic rock and more, all held in a modern‑sounding production that has much more depth, variety and presence than that of Peeper." [8]
On the Metacritic website, which aggregates various media and press reviews and assigns a normalised rating out of 100, In Each And Every One received a score of 78. [3]
Polar Bear also were shortlisted for the 2014 Mercury Music Prize for In Each And Every One, [9] garnering them extra media coverage and a wider audience. [10]

Leafcutter John is the recording name of John Burton, a UK-based musician and artist. He makes frequent use of Max/MSP in his compositions. Much of Burton's style is based in computer music and use of samples of everyday sounds. However, he also has roots as a folk musician, and this influence is apparent in his more recent work.
On the Corner is a studio album by American jazz trumpeter, bandleader, and composer Miles Davis. It was recorded in June and July 1972 and released on October 11 of the same year by Columbia Records. The album continued Davis's exploration of jazz fusion, and explicitly drew on the influence of funk musicians Sly Stone and James Brown, the experimental music of Karlheinz Stockhausen, the free jazz of Ornette Coleman, and the work of collaborator Paul Buckmaster.

Mark Lockheart is a British jazz tenor saxophonist who was a member of the Loose Tubes big band during the 1980s.
Pete Wareham is a British saxophonist, composer and band leader. He led the genre-defying North African/punk/jazz/dance band Melt Yourself Down and was a member of Nadine Shah’s Mercury Prize-nominated band, Seb Rochford’s Pulled By Magnets and also ran the influential group Acoustic Ladyland. Formerly of Rochford’s now disbanded Mercury Prize-nominated Polar Bear, Wareham has also played saxophone and flute with The Smile, Sons Of Kemet, Mica Levi, James Chance, Supergrass, Ben E King.
Jonny Phillips is an English jazz guitarist and composer. He played the violin and studied theory from the age of five, however he swapped to guitar at fifteen to study jazz, Brazilian and African music. After his studies at Newcastle College of Music, Phillips moved to London where he set up his group Oriole, with whom he has released three albums on the F-IRE Collective label. Oriole is perhaps one of the few groups to feature two Mercury nominated artists: Ben Davis on cello and Seb Rochford on drums. Phillips is now based in South London after three and a half years living in Andalusia, Spain.
Oriole are a London-based band fusing lyrical world music with jazz spontaneity, who create an aural form of Magical Realism. Oriole's members consist of many of the most well established figures in the new British Jazz scene and are perhaps one of the few groups to feature two Mercury nominated artists: Ben Davis on cello and Seb Rochford on drums. They have also released two albums on the F-IRE Collective label. The music of Oriole is composed by prolific guitarist Jonny Phillips (musician).

The album was released shortly after his death as a part of the "Atlantic Jazz Anthology"—a series of greatest hits compilations for Atlantic jazz artists—and features performances from his brief period recording for Atlantic with new liner notes by jazz journalist Nat Hentoff.
Sons of Kemet was a British jazz group formed by Shabaka Hutchings, Oren Marshall, Seb Rochford, and Tom Skinner. Theon Cross replaced Marshall on tuba after the first album, and Eddie Hick replaced Rochford on drums after the third. The band disbanded in 2022.
Ske-Dat-De-Dat: The Spirit of Satch is a 2014 album and the final studio album released by American musician Dr. John during his lifetime, and his penultimate studio album in total. Produced by Dr. John and Sarah Morrow, it was released in August 2014.
