Flavors of Entanglement is the seventh studio album, fifth international release and last Maverick Records release by Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette. The album, which was originally set for an April release, came out on May 30, 2008, in Germany, Benelux, and Ireland, internationally on June 2, and in the United States on June 10. It was produced by Guy Sigsworth. Flavors won a Juno Award for Pop Album of the Year at the 2009 Juno Awards. The album gets its name from a lyric in the track "Moratorium".

The original version of the song was entitled "You and Me", and was written for T-Pain's debut album, Rappa Ternt Sanga.

The single was released in February 2009, following a confirmation by Anastacia during a performance on This Morning on Monday, November 3, 2008. The soulful pop and R&B song was produced by Chuck Harmony, and was written by Harmony and Shaffer Smith. The song was released to European radio on November 7, 2008. The video for the song was filmed in November 2008 by Nigel Dick, who also directed the videos for "I'm Outta Love" and "Cowboys & Kisses".
