In Stasis is the fourth studio album by British progressive metal band Monuments. It was released on 15 April 2022 through Century Media Records and was produced by Mick Gordon. It is the band's first release with vocalist Andy Cizek and the last with longtime bassist Adam Swan, and drummer Mike Malyan. [4] [5] [6]

The album received positive reviews from critics. Taylor Markarian from Blabbermouth.net gave the album 9 out of 10 and said: "Overall, In Stasis is an album that can grab a wider swath of fans than the average prog metal release. Lovers of metal, metalcore and even deathcore can all find something to like about it. While some songs stand out more than others, the record's huge sound leaves a forceful and lasting impression." [7] Laura McCarthy of Distorted Sound scored the album 9 out of 10 and said: "There are so many moments that feel like Monuments are really allowed to breathe on this record; that everything flows in one movement, rather than ever feeling like a colossal instrumental with a song somewhere in it. While Monuments have proven themselves as top of their class in progressive metal for years, In Stasis feels like a brand new chapter wherein both the old and the new can coincide within their ranks to great a band greater than the sum of its parts." [8] Metal Injection rated the album 8 out of 10 and stated, "As In Stasis demonstrates, progressive metalcore simply doesn't get much better than Monuments. Admittedly, added diversity amongst a few of the tracks would absolutely help them feel extra distinctive and adventurous. However, that's a small complaint when the material is so satisfying and expertly performed. For sure, the group has arguably its best line-up to date here, and the addition of a few guest musicians is exciting, too. Definitely don't let this one pass you by." [9]
New Noise gave the album 4.5 out of 5 and stated: "Ultimately, Monuments feel rejuvenated and sound better than ever. I know djent and progressive metalcore will always have detractors, but it's almost undeniable that whatever form of 'stasis' the band are in right now, it's their strongest form yet." [11] Wall of Sound gave the album a score 8/10 and said: "Initially, I didn't think I was going to have much to say because I was like, 'This is all just really good; how can I say "really good" ten times over?'. Am I completely obsessed with this album? Not entirely, but that doesn't mean it's not amazing. Like I said – it's not my natural lean towards, but this has taught me I need to reach out to prog WAY more. Whether you're usually into prog or not – give this album a listen; I doubt you'll regret it. Hopefully, my brain will allow this album to stay in my regular listening rotation (ADHD pals will understand)." [12]

Periphery is an American progressive metal band formed in Washington, D.C., in 2005. Their musical style has been described as progressive metal, djent, and progressive metalcore. They are considered one of the pioneers of the djent movement within progressive metal. They have also received a Grammy nomination. The band consists of vocalist Spencer Sotelo, guitarists Misha Mansoor, Mark Holcomb, Jake Bowen, and drummer Matt Halpern.
Periphery is the debut studio album by American progressive metal band Periphery. It was released on April 20, 2010 through Sumerian Records, and was produced by the band themselves and Matt Murphy. Many songs on the tracklist had been written long before the release date—with some written by original lead vocalist Casey Sabol—but due to membership changes, the album was postponed on several occasions. Former vocalist Chris Barretto had nearly finished recording the album before he and the band parted ways months before its release. Rather than release the songs with Barretto's vocals, the band decided to rerecord Barretto's songs with Spencer Sotelo; however, Sotelo only re-worked a few of the melodies when recording vocals, versus writing completely new lyrics. As a result, Sabol's and Barretto's lyrics and vocal melodies and harmonies are still featured on the record. The album was re-released on February 6, 2012 as a 'Special Edition' including instrumentals, along with a new song "Passenger", originally recorded by guitarist Mark Holcomb during his time in the band Haunted Shores. This is the only album to feature guitarist Alex Bois and bassist Tom Murphy.
Stray from the Path is an American hardcore punk band formed in 2001 in Long Island, New York. They have released ten full-length albums. Their first three records were independently released – People Over Profit in 2002, Audio Prozac in 2003, and Our Oceania in 2004. Stray From The Path then signed with Sumerian Records and released six records with them; Villains in 2008, Make Your Own History in 2009, Rising Sun in 2011, Anonymous in 2013, Subliminal Criminals in 2015, and Only Death Is Real in 2017. They are currently signed to UNFD and released their first record under the label in 2019 titled, Internal Atomics. They have been seen on tour with bands such as: Architects, Northlane, Every Time I Die, The Acacia Strain, Terror, Norma Jean, Underoath, The Ghost Inside, For Today, Stick to Your Guns, Bleeding Through, Comeback Kid, and Counterparts.
Lorna Shore is an American deathcore band formed in New Jersey in 2009. The group currently consists of lead guitarist Adam De Micco, drummer Austin Archey, rhythm guitarist Andrew O'Connor, vocalist Will Ramos, and bassist Michael Yager. The band is most known for their 2021 single "To the Hellfire". They have released four studio albums Psalms (2015), Flesh Coffin (2017), Immortal (2020), and Pain Remains (2022). The band has also released four EPs. Since 2017, no original members remain in the band.
Erra is an American progressive metalcore band from Birmingham, Alabama, formed in 2009. The band was named after the homonymous Akkadian god of war and plague. The band has released six studio albums and three EPs to date. Their latest album, titled Cure, was released on April 5, 2024. They have toured with bands such as As I Lay Dying, August Burns Red, TesseracT, Born of Osiris, Ice Nine Kills, Glass Cloud, Within the Ruins, Bad Omens, I See Stars, and Texas in July.
