After releasing State Of The Art, Shinhwa quickly began preparing their first Japanese album and single. As preparation work for their Japanese album release, Shinhwa held a press conference in Japan on April 14, 2006, in addition to performing at MNET's anniversary celebration in Japan on April 15, 2006. The press conference came as a result of Shinhwa's effort to break into the Japanese market, with the release of their first Japanese language single There is Sun in Our Hearts on June 14, 2006, debuting at #9 on the Oricon Chart, and their first official album, Inspiration #1, in Japan in August, debuting at #4, both selling 100,000 copies.

Shinhwa is a South Korean six-member boy band based in Seoul, composed of Eric Mun, Lee Min-woo, Kim Dong-wan, Shin Hye-sung, Jun Jin, and Andy Lee. Launched by SM Entertainment on March 24, 1998, the group signed with Good Entertainment in 2004 before creating their Shinhwa Company to manage their career as a band. The band struggled initially with their first album before finding commercial success with their sophomore album T.O.P.. When their contract with SM Entertainment expired in July 2003, all six members signed with Good Entertainment and assumed creative control with the release of Brand New. That same year, members began to pursue individual careers.

Orange Range are a 5-member Japanese rock band, based in Okinawa, Japan. Formed in 2001, the band began with Spice Music and later signed with Sony Music Japan's gr8! records division in 2003. TVXQ, an initialism for Tong Vfang Xien Qi, is a South Korean male pop duo consisting of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin. They are known as Tohoshinki in Japanese releases, and are sometimes referred to as DBSK, an abbreviation of their Korean name Dong Bang Shin Ki (Korean: 동방신기). Their name roughly translates to "Rising Gods of the East".
Akina Nakamori is a Japanese singer and actress. She is one of the most popular and best-selling artists in Japan. Akina achieved national recognition after winning the 1981 season of the talent show Star Tanjō!. Her debut single "Slow Motion" was released to moderate success, peaking at number thirty on the Oricon Weekly Singles Chart. Nakamori's popularity increased with the release of her follow-up single, "Shōjo A", which peaked at number five on the Oricon charts and sold over 390,000 copies. Her second album Variation became her first number-one on the Oricon Weekly Albums Chart, staying in that position for three weeks. As of 2011, Akina has sold over 25.3 million records and was named the third best-selling female Japanese idol singer of all time.
Lee Min-woo, also known mononymously credited as M as a solo artist, is a South Korean entertainer, known as a member of the South Korean boy band Shinhwa. Lee was the first Shinhwa member to debut as a solo artist in 2003, and has since released three studio albums.
Kim Dong-wan is a South Korean entertainer, known as a member of South Korean boy band Shinhwa. He has been acting since 2002, and has starred in television dramas such as A Farewell to Sorrow and Children of Heaven. He has said that given the opportunity he would prefer a career in acting rather than as a singer, However, since the release of his debut album, he has stated that now he prefers singing more. From Shinhwa, Kim is the fourth member to go solo, following Lee Min-woo, Shin Hye-sung, and Jun Jin.
The South Korean boy band Shinhwa has released fifteen studio albums, three live albums, five compilation albums, one box set, three EPs, thirty-four singles, and sixteen contributions to multi-artist compilations. Shinhwa was created by SM Entertainment and debuted in 1998 with the album Resolver. The album was delayed three months to give SM Entertainment's new group at the time, Fly to the Sky a chance to debut. The album's title song was released as the lead single, with "All Your Dreams", "First Love", and "Wedding March " being subsequent singles. Only One sold 423,873 copies and reached number one on the Recording Industry Association Korea music chart.
Perfect Man is the fifth Korean studio album by South Korean boy band Shinhwa. It was released on March 29, 2002, by SM Entertainment. The title track "Perfect Man", includes lyrics with a persuasive love theme, it was followed by second single entitled, "I Pray 4 U".
Neoui Gyeolhonsik (Wedding) (Korean: 너의 결혼식 (Wedding), lit.Your Wedding (Wedding)) was released on December 27, 2002, becoming Shinhwa's sixth studio album. With the release of Your Wedding, Shinhwa also broke the record for being the longest running boy band in the history of Korea, a record they are still currently holding as they have not yet disbanded. Shinhwa was also the second artist to in South Korea to release two albums (Perfect Man and Your Wedding) in a year, with Sechs Kies being first. Your Wedding sold approximately 273,714 copies. It was their final album with SM Entertainment. It was marketed in Japan as Wedding - Kimi to deatta toki (Japanese: ウェディング～君と出逢ったとき).
Brand New is the seventh studio album of South Korean boy band Shinhwa. It was released on 27 August 2004 by Good Entertainment. It is their first album since leaving SM Entertainment and signing with Good Entertainment. The four lead tracks are "Brand New", "Angel", "Crazy" and "Oh".
State of the Art is a studio album by South Korean boy band Shinhwa. It was released on May 11, 2006, by Good Entertainment, and represents the group's eighth major album release. It was the third best-selling album of 2006 in South Korea with over 215,000 copies.
Volume 9, also known as 10th Anniversary album, is the ninth studio album of South Korean boy band Shinhwa. It was released on 3 April 2008 by Good Entertainment, marking the group's 10th anniversary. It was first released as a First Press Limited Edition, with 50,000 copies, each with a hologram serial number and a 120-page photobook. The regular edition was released a week later. A 20,000 copies repackaged White Edition was released on 3 July 2008, which included new track, "Destiny of Love" (흔적) and a music video which feature footage from their Shinhwa Must Go On: 10th Anniversary Live concert held on 29 and 30 March 2008 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, Seoul.

During 2005–2010, Kim has had two solo songs from SS501 albums: "Rize Up" from Kokoro, and "Please Be Nice To Me" from SS501 Solo Collection. In 2008, he released "Thank You" digital single, a theme song from We Got Married and was also included in SS501 mini album Find. In 2009, he contributed two soundtracks from Boys Over Flowers including the acoustic version of "Because I'm Stupid"" and "A Thing Called Happiness". He, then released a DVD entitled Goodbye Yoon Ji-hoo, marking the end of his character role in Boys Over Flowers, and coming back as the leader of SS501. In 2010, he contributed "One More Time" from his drama Playful Kiss.
With is the eighth Japanese studio album by South Korean pop duo Tohoshinki, released by Avex Trax on December 17, 2014. The record was released in four physical versions – Version A, a CD+DVD version with music videos and live performances; Version B, another CD+DVD version with off-shot movies; Version C, a CD only version with two bonus tracks; and Version D, a fan club limited edition with a CD-Extra. Recording and writing for the album roughly began in the summer of 2013. With is described to be an album composed of nostalgic dance-pop songs that are influenced by disco and jazz, accompanied by marching drumbeats. Its lyrical content explores the general concept of love and friendship.
