Intergamma is a Dutch franchise-organisation. It owns two hardware store-chains, namely Gamma and Karwei. Intergamma started on May 11, 1971 with a Gamma store in Breda. Its current CEO is Harm-Jan Stoter. [1]
As of 2011 [update] , Intergamma had 373 stores – 245 Gamma stores, of which 164 are located in the Netherlands, 81 in Belgium, and 128 Karwei stores, all of which are located in the Netherlands. [2]
In 2008 Intergamma had a revenue of 998 million euro. [3] Gamma had a revenue of 606 million euro and Karwei 392 million.
Intergamma has about 370 personnel and have locations in Leusden (headquarters) and Antwerp. [2]

Its first store opened on October 15, 1971 in Schiedam, Netherlands. At its peak, the franchise had more than 200 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium, but online available music and media supplanted the sale of physical media carriers.

Galerie Lambiek is a Dutch comic book store and art gallery in Amsterdam, founded on November 8, 1968 by Kees Kousemaker, though since 2007, his son Boris Kousemaker is the current owner. It was part of the franchise-organisation Maxeda, which headquarters is located in Amsterdam. As of 2011 Formido had 80 stores, all of which were located in the Netherlands. Of these stores, 15 were managed by Formido and 65 were franchised. Maxeda also owns the Hardware store-chain Praxis and Brico.
Hubo is a Dutch hardware store-chain. Hubo Netherlands and Hubo Belgium are two separate entities. Hubo is part of the franchise-organisation DGN Retail, which headquarters is located in Apeldoorn. DGN Retail also owns the Hardware store-chains Multimate Service Bouwmarkt, Fixet and Doeland. Hubo is the oldest Hardware store franchise in the Netherlands, starting its franchising business in 1969. As of 2011 Hubo has over 200 stores, all of which are located in the Netherlands, making it the largest Hardware store-chain in the Netherlands in number of stores.
