Mr. Gay International was the first international contest to select an Ambassador or spokesman to support the mission of the sponsoring nonprofit corporation, the Noble Beast Foundation. President of the Noble Beast Foundation is Don Spradlin, who founded and produced the first three Competitions with a team of dedicated volunteers. Carlos Melia, native from Argentina was the third International Mr Gay titleholder, elected and crowned in Los Angeles, California in 2008. The last International Mr. Gay titleholder was Pablo Salvador Sepúlveda from Chile. The competition has been de facto replaced by Mr Gay World.

Media Coverage

The event explicitly seeks to highlight discrimination against LGBTI people and provide select positive role models. A number of contestants from a number of countries has faced sanctions for their selection or competition, including Zoltan Parag from India, [2] Taurai Zhanje from Zimbabwe, Robel Hailu from Ethiopia, former Olympian Chavdar Arsov from Bulgaria, Wendelinus Hamutenya from Namibia and Xiao Dai from China. Mr Gay International competition

The third edition of International Mr Gay International took place in Los Angeles, California. Carlos Melia was crowned as IMG 2008, representing his country of origin as Mr Gay Argentina. [5] As the title holder, Carlos worked as an ambassador and spokesperson for equal and human rights, fundraising and endorsing LGBT organizations and events worldwide. [6] In 2009, Melia joined the board of directors of Mr Gay World, and appointed executive director of Central and South America and the Caribbean. [7] [8]

The next U.S. finale was held in San Francisco's Museum of Performance and Design in November 2008 when Michael Jarvis was named the U.S. delegate to the IMG. The International Competition was assigned to the Philippines producers for May 2009 in preparation for the first time the IMG Competition would be produced outside of the United States.

The international competition was scheduled for Manila in the Philippines for the summer of 2009, but it encountered production issues that resulted in the competition returning to California. [9]

The 2009 - 2010 Mr. Gay International titleholder was Switzerland's Ricco Müller. Rounding up the top five were Australia as first runner-up, USA as second runner-up, Philippines as third runner-up, and Puerto Rico as fourth runner-up. As International Mr. Gay, Müller supports AIDS-related campaigns and deaf communities.

In January 2011, Pablo Salvador Sepúlveda, activist and history teacher, competed in the International Mr Gay Competition and won the title. As International Mr. Gay, he works for the LGBTIQ+ community and supports the first Chilean campaign against bullying at schools. He has appeared on radio and television stations in Chile as an activist and spokesman.

Nuestra Belleza Mundo El Salvador was a national Beauty pageant in El Salvador. The winner represented El Salvador at Miss World. Between 2006 - 2015, the winner was given the title of Nuestra Belleza Universo and competed at Miss Universe.

Mr Gay World 2010, the 2nd Mr Gay World pageant, was held at the Nedre Vollgate 11, in Oslo, Norway on February 13, 2010. Charl Van Den Berg of South Africa, was crowned Mr Gay World 2010 by outgoing titleholder Max Krzyzanowski from Ireland. 23 countries and territories competed for the title.

Pablo Salvador is a Chilean gay icon born in Panama as Salvador Sepúlveda Montoya. Salvador is Master in Direction of Communication of Pompeu Fabra University, Barcelona, Spain and Professor of History and Management. The greatest success of Chile in a gay contest was in February 2011 when Salvador, Mr. Gay Chile 2009 - 2010, won the International Mr Gay Competition.

The last Grand Finale of this competition was in February 2019.

Mr Gay World South Africa is a registered and trademarked competition founded in 2009 to present a professional competition for gay men in South Africa – a role model and a representative of which the entire LGBTI community can be proud of. Both the 2009 and 2010 winners, Charl van den Berg and Francois Nel, went on to win the Mr. Gay World title; Charl in Oslo, Norway and Francois in Manila, Philippines. The 2011 Mr Gay South Africa, Lance Weyer, was first runner-up when Mr Gay World was hosted by South Africa in Johannesburg in April 2012. Mr Gay South Africa 2012 was chosen at a glittering Grand Finale in Pretoria on Saturday 8 December 2012 at the brand new, state-of-the-art Atterbury Theatre at Lynnwood Bridge and would have represented South Africa at Mr Gay World 2013, in August 2013 in Antwerp, Belgium. He is 23-year-old Jason Rogers from Pretoria. Rogers has since resigned, citing work and study commitments preventing him from giving his full commitment to the title. The first runner-up, Steve Williams, took over the 2012 title since June 2013 and represented South Africa at Mr Gay World 2013 in Antwerp, Belgium. The 2013 title holder is Werner de Waal, representing South Africa at Mr. Gay World 2014 in Rome, Italy. The competition is defined by the organisation as the search for the ultimate gay male in South Africa. Mr Gay South Africa is a heavily promoted role in the country and the title holder takes his job of educating, informing and campaigning to the public at large seriously. The winner represents South Africa at the annual Mr Gay World competition.

Wilbert Ting Tolentino is a Filipino entrepreneur and philanthropist and a vlogger. Tolentino owns bars, a spas, and trading business.

Mr. Gay World Philippines Organization is a non-profit organization that holds a national contest for Filipino delegates for Mr. Gay World. Wilbert Ting Tolentino was given the license to be the newest national director in January 2016. Christian Lacsamana was the first Filipino delegate appointed by Wilbert Ting Tolentino to represent the Philippines in Malta, in April 2016. He was second runner up, the first Filipino to make it that far.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Mister World 2019</span> 10th Mister World competition, international male beauty pageant edition

Mister World 2019 was the tenth edition of the Mister World competition. It was held on 23 August 2019 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines. Rohit Khandelwal of India crowned Jack Heslewood of England as his successor at the end of the event.
