International Summit Council for Peace

The International Summit Council for Peace (ISCP) was launched in South Korea during the 2019 World Summit organized by the UPF, a Unification Church linked organization, with the aim of bringing together current and former heads of state. Among the speakers at the 2019 Summit were Cheney, former US vice president, Gingrich, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and many other politicians and statesmen. The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, at the International Summit Council for Peace (ISCP) conference in 2019 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, together with leaders from other countries, signed the Resolution establishing the International Summit Council for Peace (ISCP). Goodluck Jonathan, the former president of Nigeria, became the chairman of the ISCP-Africa Peace Council International Summit, which brings together former and current presidents of African countries. [3] [ non-primary source needed ] Goodluck Jonathan spoke at the International Leadership Conference in South Africa 2019, which brought together government representatives, former heads of state, and traditional rulers from across Africa. In his speech, he mentioned the importance of preserving the legitimacy and credibility of elections in Africa, because otherwise citizens lose trust in the electoral process. The International Summit of the Council for Peace (ISCP) - Africa at the 2020 meeting in Abuja, Nigeria, pledged support for African leaders in their efforts to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. It also called on international agencies and foundations to support African countries as they fight the COVID-19 pandemic. [5] [ non-primary source needed ]

Former President of the Marshall Islands, Kessai Note, said at the first webinar of the International Summit Council for Peace (ISCP) in the Asia-Pacific region in 2020 that the COVID-19 pandemic should serve as a wake-up call for all nations of the world to overcome differences and find common ground for addressing global pandemics and our shared challenges. The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, delivered the keynote speech at the ISCP in 2022. Hun Sen proposed that the two Koreas should begin to cooperate through UNESCO, to cooperate culturally and to change the demilitarized zone into a zone of peace. [7]
