International Summit Council for Peace

The International Summit Council for Peace (ISCP) was launched in South Korea during the 2019 World Summit organized by the UPF with the aim of bringing together current and former heads of state. Among the speakers at the 2019 Summit were Cheney, former US vice president, Gingrich, former Speaker of the US House of Representatives, and many other politicians and statesmen. Among others, the former presidents of Albania, Ghana, Paraguay and other former presidents participated in the summit. [1] [2] [3] ISCP continues to work on the foundations of the World Peace Summit, established in 1987. [4]

ISCP Distinguished Award

At the inaugural meeting, ten prominent statesmen and politicians received the ISCP Distinguished Award:

International Summit Council for Peace ISCP-Africa

Goodluck Jonathan, the former president of Nigeria, became the chairman of the ISCP-Africa Peace Council International Summit, which brings together former and current presidents of African countries. [5] [6] [7]

At the inaugural meeting, nine prominent African statesmen and politicians received the ISCP Distinguished Award:

At the gathering, it was said that democratic elections in Africa should be transparent and democratic, for the benefit of all the people of Africa. [8] [9]

At the Sao Tome Peace Summit 2019, it was said that the goals of the International Summit of the Peace Council (ISCP) are to strengthen democracy, peace and stability by supporting the youth of Africa. [10] [11] [12]

The former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, at the 2020 world summit in South Korea, led the session of the International Summit Council for Peace (ISCP), where former and current heads of governments discussed current problems in the world. [13]

In its activities, the International Summit for Peace (ISCP)-Africa supported African leaders in the fight against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. They called on the international community to help the African people in the fight against COVID-19 and send medical equipment, and they also called on local and international organizations to cooperate in the fight against COVID-19, especially in Africa. Asia-Pacific Summit 2019 and the International Summit Council for Peace Council (ISCP) in 2022

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, together with other world leaders, signed the Resolution on the Establishment of the International Summit Peace Council (ISCP), during a ceremony at the second Asia-Pacific Summit 2019 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. [16] [17]

The Prime Minister of Cambodia, Hun Sen, delivered the keynote speech at the International Summit Council for Peace Council (ISCP) in 2022. Hun Sen proposed that the two Koreas should begin to cooperate through UNESCO, to cooperate culturally and to change the demilitarized zone into a zone of peace.

He proposed the initiative: "Two states towards one nation, one culture and people", based on the vision of the Universal Peace Federation. [18] [19]

Sok An was a Cambodian academic and politician. He was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Office of the Council of Ministers from 2004 to his death, and started serving in the Cabinet in 1993. Adedayo Clement Adeyeye is a Nigerian politician and member of the All Progressive Congress party. He is a former Minister of State for Works, former Senator for Ekiti South Senatorial District. Prince Adedayo Adeyeye is the current National Chairman of the Southwest Agenda for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (SWAGA). The association has a large presence in Nigeria with offices in several states, including Kwara, Kogi, Akwa Ibom, Benue, Plateau, amongst several others. He is a journalist, an author, a former NADECO chieftain, and the recipient of numerous awards for his contributions towards the national development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Samdech Hun Manet is a Cambodian politician and general who has been serving as the prime minister of Cambodia since 2023, succeeding his father, Hun Sen. He is also the vice president of the ruling Cambodian People's Party. Prior to his political appointment, he served in the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) as deputy commander-in-chief and the commander of the Royal Cambodian Army. He is the second-eldest son of former prime minister Hun Sen and Bun Rany. Upon appointment as prime minister, he was granted the highest civilian honorary title of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.

At the beginning of 2016, more than a hundred parliamentarians from more than 40 countries in the Korean Parliament founded the International Association of Parliamentarians for Peace, based on the "Parliamentarians for Peace" initiative launched by the founders of the Universal Peace Federation, Rev. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon in 2001.

The World Summit is a UPF project that aims to bring together the heads of state, who with their vast experience and wisdom can help build a world of mutual understanding, sustainable peace and prosperity for all.

Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church, believed in a literal Kingdom of God on earth to be brought about by human effort, motivating his establishment of numerous groups, some that are not strictly religious in their purposes. Moon was not directly involved with managing the day-to-day activities of the organizations that he indirectly oversaw, yet all of them attribute the inspiration behind their work to his leadership and teachings.
