Interrupting Chicken is a children's animated television series for Apple TV+. The series is based on the children's book of the same name by David Ezra Stein. The first season was released on November 18, 2022. [1] Later, the second season premiered on September 29, 2023. [2]
The series follows a little red chicken named Piper who is a writer and likes to jumps in to rewrite stories with imagination and creative writing.

On August 29, 2022, Apple announced new kids and family programs for fall 2022. Which Interrupting Chicken was one of the series to be released. [4] The first season was released on November 18, 2022. With the holiday episode which is also the season finale was released on December 2, 2022. Interrupting Chicken was nominated for Outstanding Younger Voice Performer in an Animated or Preschool Animated Program for Juliet Donenfeld and Outstanding Writing for a Preschool Animated Program at the 2nd Children's and Family Emmy Awards. [6] It is also nominated for Outstanding Preschool Animated Series at the 3rd Children's and Family Emmy Awards. [7]
