The 1920 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the VII Olympiad, were an international multi-sport event in 1920 in Antwerp, Belgium.
Shooting at the 1984 Summer Olympics took place at Prado Olympic Shooting Park, Chino, California, United States. The games marked the first time that women’s shooting events were included in the Olympic program.
Shooting at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal comprised seven events, all mixed. Irene May Guest, also known by her married name Irene Loog, was an American competition swimmer, Olympic champion, and world record-holder. She represented the United States as a 19-year-old at the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, Belgium, where she received a pair of medals. Guest received her first medal in the women's 100-meter freestyle in which she finished second behind fellow American Ethelda Bleibtrey, earning a silver medal with a time of 1:17.0. In the women's 4×100 metres freestyle relay, she won a gold medal with U.S. teammates Bleibtrey, Frances Schroth and Margaret Woodbridge in a new world record time of 5:11.6.
Albania first participated at the Summer Olympic Games in 1972. They missed the next four games, three of them for political reasons due to the 1980 Summer Olympics boycott, 1984 Summer Olympics boycott and 1988 boycotts, but returned for the Barcelona 1992 Summer Olympics. They have appeared in all games since then. They made their Winter Olympic Games debut in 2006. Albania normally competes in events that include swimming, athletics, weightlifting, shooting and wrestling. The country has not yet won an Olympic medal, and along with Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is the only European non-microstate without an Olympic medal. They have been represented by the Albanian National Olympic Committee since 1972.

Bhutan competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. This marked the nation's eighth appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut in the 1984 Summer Olympics, and the first in which the nation competed in a sport other than archery. The Bhutanese delegation included archer Sherab Zam and shooter Kunzang Choden. Zam was the flag bearer for both the opening and closing ceremonies. Neither of Bhutan's athletes progressed beyond the first round of their events. Bhutan was one of only two countries to have a female-only team at the 2012 Games.
Irene Beyeler is a Swiss sport shooter. Beyeler represented Switzerland at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where she competed in rifle shooting events, along with her brother and teammate Simon Beyeler. She placed sixteenth out of forty-seven shooters in the women's 10 m air rifle by one point behind United States' Emily Caruso from the third attempt, with a total score of 395 points. Nearly a week later, Beyeler competed for her second event, 50 m rifle 3 positions, where she was able to shoot 195 targets in a prone position, 188 in standing, and 194 in kneeling, for a total score of 577 points, finishing only in twenty-third place.
