Isa Andersen (real name Isa Jank) is a German actress best known for her role as Clarissa von Anstetten in the German soap opera Verbotene Liebe (Forbidden Love). [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
Jank began her acting career in Hollywood in the 80s, acting alongside James Belushi in Real Men and performing other roles in Night Angel , Cheers and Airwolf .
In 1992, she accepted a role in the German legal drama Liebling Kreuzberg (Darling Kreuzberg). In 1994, Jank joined the cast of the German soap opera Verbotene Liebe. She acted as Clarissa von Anstetten for almost three years, before being temporarily written out in a kidnapping storyline which went on for almost six months. Jank returned to the show and stayed another two years. She left the show permanently in the summer of 2001 in a high-profile exit storyline involving a final battle with her archenemy, Tanja von Anstetten, played by Miriam Lahnstein. Jank's character, Clarissa von Anstetten, was presumed dead after a plane crash.
Jank returned to television in October of 2005, in the role of the antagonist Annabelle Gravenberg in the ZDF telenovela Wege zum Glück . Jank stayed with the telenovela for three years until Annabelle died on-screen in November of 2008, shortly before the show ended.
In early 2011, Das Erste announced Jank's return as Clarissa von Anstetten. She first reappeared in June of 2011, and was part of a six-month special that was filmed on the Spanish island of Mallorca before joining her colleagues in Cologne. Jank stayed for another year and was then written off the show, with her last appearance on 20th of March, 2013.
In 2016, Isa Jank became a housemate in the fourth season of Promi Big Brother. [6]
Verbotene Liebe is a German television soap opera created by Reg Watson for Das Erste. The show was set primarily in the German city of Düsseldorf although, at times, the city of Cologne and the Spanish island of Mallorca figured prominently in the show's story lines. First broadcast on 2 January 1995, Verbotene Liebe was originally broadcast in 24-minute episodes, five times a week. It expanded to 45-minute episodes on 21 June 2011 and trimmed back to 40-minute episodes on 23 January 2012 to accommodate an adjusted time-slot. In 2006, Pay-TV network Passion began broadcasting episodes of the show from the beginning.
