Punjabi cinema, sometimes metonymously referred to as Pollywood, is the Punjabi-language film industry centered around the Indian state of Punjab, and based in Amritsar and Mohali.
Tera Mera Ki Rishta is a 2009 Indian Punjabi language romantic drama film directed by Navaniat Singh and produced by Mukesh Sharma. The movie was stated to be the costliest Punjabi movie ever made and was the first Punjabi movie to be shot in Switzerland. Tera Mera Ki Rishta was also the first Punjabi Movie to be promoted online by www.punjabiportal.com and an official movie launch center website was also introduced. The movie is a remake of the 2005 Telugu movie Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana.
Hirdesh Singh, known professionally as Yo Yo Honey Singh or simply Honey Singh, is an Indian music producer, composer, rapper, pop singer, lyricist and a film actor. He started out in 2003 as a session and recording artist, and became a bhangra and hip hop music producer. Later, he became successful with his own songs and started making songs for Bollywood films.

The core storyline was loosely based on the 1989 Malayalam movie Chakkikotha Chankaran.
Taur Mittran Di is a 2012 Punjabi drama action comedy film starring Amrinder Gill, Rannvijay Singh, Surveen Chawla, Amita Pathak and Mukesh Rishi. The movie is directed by Navaniat Singh and produced by Eros Entertainment & Jimmy Sheirgill Productions. The movie was released on 11 May 2012. This is the first film in the Punjabi film industry where the youth power and love for hockey is shown. Japji Khera did a cameo role in this film.
Tu Mera 22 Main Tera 22 is a Punjabi comedy film directed by Amit Prasher. The film features Amrinder Gill and Yo Yo Honey Singh in the lead roles as two spoiled rich brothers, alongside Mandy Takhar. The film released on 25 January 2013, and did good business at the box office, completing verdict of "semi-hit".

Then she went onto star in many Punjabi films like Ishq Brandy (2014), Nikka Zaildar 2 (2017), Parahuna (2018), Dil Diyan Gallan (2019) and Nikka Zaildar 3 (2019).
Simerjit Singh is an Indian film director and writer. He is best known for directing the Punjabi film Angrej.
Nimrat Khaira is an Indian singer, and actress known for her work in Punjabi- language music and films.
Naukar Vahuti Da is a 2019 Indian-Punjabi language dramedy film directed by Smeep Kang, starring Binnu Dhillon and Kulraj Randhawa. It has Jaswinder Bhalla, Gurpreet Ghuggi, Preet Anand and Upasna Singh in supporting roles, with Dhillon playing double role. The film was theatrically released on 23 August 2019.
PTC Punjabi Music Awards are presented annually by PTC Punjabi to honour both artistic and technical excellence of professionals in the Punjabi language music industry of India.
