Itay Shanny (born 1 September 1998) is an Israeli archer. [1]

He represented Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics competing in the men's individual event. [2] Shanny was seeded 60th out of 64 in the ranking round. [3] That rank placed him against 5th seeded Japanese Hiroki Muto in the first round. Shanny got the upset victory, beating his opponent 7–3. [4] In the second round, facing 37th seed Indian Tarundeep Rai, Shanny won the match with a 10–9 single arrow shoot-off after the match was tied 5–5, advancing to the round of 16. [5] There, he lost by a score of 6–5 to Taiwan's Tang Chih-chun and was eliminated from the competition. [6]

The men's singles table tennis event was part of the table tennis programme at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The event took place from Saturday 28 July to Thursday 2 August 2012 at ExCeL London. The tournament was a single elimination tournament with a third place playoff played between the two losing semi-finalists. In the 2008 event all three medals were won by Chinese athletes with Ma Lin taking gold.

Kim Bub-min is a South Korean archer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for his country, alongside partners Im Dong-hyun and Oh Jin-hyek in the Men's team event, finishing in third place. He also competed in the men's individual event, finishing in 5th place. He was ranked in second after the ranking round, then beat Rob Elder, Tarundeep Rai and Dan Olaru in the elimination rounds, before losing to Dai Xiaoxiang in the quarterfinals.

Lin Chia-en is a Taiwanese archer who competed in the 2012 Summer Olympics, and again at the 2020 Summer Olympics. At the Tokyo Olympics, Lin and teammate Tang Chih-chun tied for ninth place in the new mixed team event; she was the only female archer from Chinese Taipei to advance to the individual top 16.

The men's team recurve competition at the 2011 World Archery Championships took place on 5–10 July 2011 in Torino, Italy. 55 teams of three archers competed in the qualification round on 5 July; the top 16 teams qualified for the knockout tournament on 6 July, with the semi-finals and finals on 10 July. The tournament doubled as the principal qualification tournament for the 2012 Olympics.

The men's singles table tennis event was part of the table tennis programme at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. The event took place from 6 August to 11 August 2016 at Riocentro.

The mixed team archery event was one of five archery events to take place at the 2020 Summer Olympics. It was held at Yumenoshima Park, with the ranking rounds taking place on 23 July and match play on 24 July. 16 teams competed in the knockout rounds, with the qualifying teams determined by the ranking rounds in which 29 different nations had at least one archer in each of the men's and women's divisions.

The men's singles table tennis event was part of the table tennis programme at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The event took place from 24 July to 30 July 2021 at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.

Tang Chih-chun is a Taiwanese archer competing in men's recurve events. He won the gold medal in the men's team recurve event, alongside Luo Wei-min and Wei Chun-heng, at the 2018 Asian Games held in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Oleksii Ihorovych Hunbin is a Ukrainian archer. He represented Ukraine at the 2020 Summer Olympics in men's individual and mixed team competition. He won silver medal at the 2021 European Championships in team event.

Michelle Kroppen is a German archer. She competed in the women's individual event, and women's team, at the 2020 Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal.

Hiroki Muto is a Japanese archer. He competed in Archery at the 2020 Summer Olympics. In the bronze medal match of the Men's team event, Muto hit a do-or-die bullseye in the tie-breaker set to win bronze for Japan.

Deng Yu-cheng is a Taiwanese archer. He competed with Wei Chun-heng and Peng Shih-Cheng in the 2017 Summer Universiade and won silver in the Recurve Men's Team event. He competed in the men's individual event and also won silver in the men's team event at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
