The song was produced by Pete Rock for Mecca & the Soul Brother Productions. [1] [2] The track contains a diss towards Kris Kross.

The music video was directed by Treach and James Brummel and was released in 1993. The music video features cameos by Pete Rock, Treach, Apache, and Havoc of Mobb Deep.

It does, however, feature production from some of the most influential New York City producers, including DJ Premier, Pete Rock and Marley Marl. The album also has a notably more aggressive and edgy tone compared to their first effort. The album features three singles: "Crewz Pop", "Iz U Wit Me" and "Wild Child".
